We had a hole cut in Lockleys PS fence that let us into a small 'forrest' on Burbridge Road,we would hide behind a small mound and as players hit up to the elevated green we would 'get down low and go go go!' and get one of us to go near the hole while two or mor eothers threw the balls that missed the green to him and he would put all four in the hole, scurry back behind the mound and watch the head shaking begin....
Then as we learned the finer points of the game we would throw all the balls next to each other in a clump of four that were touching or put them all in a bunker at the back right next to each other.
This was the first hole of 18 and we would follow the bewlidered players (behind trees the whole time) for up to three holes to listen to them try and work it out.

Needless to say the greenskeepers had a direct line to my house.
