Growing up near Kooyonga golf course I spent muc hof my after school hours running around in there.

We had a hole cut in Lockleys PS fence that let us into a small 'forrest' on Burbridge Road,we would hide behind a small mound and as players hit up to the elevated green we would 'get down low and go go go!' and get one of us to go near the hole while two or mor eothers threw the balls that missed the green to him and he would put all four in the hole, scurry back behind the mound and watch the head shaking begin....

Then as we learned the finer points of the game we would throw all the balls next to each other in a clump of four that were touching or put them all in a bunker at the back right next to each other.

This was the first hole of 18 and we would follow the bewlidered players (behind trees the whole time) for up to three holes to listen to them try and work it out.

Needless to say the greenskeepers had a direct line to my house.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Those cannisters were hard to blow up. We found a better use for them at Uni. Another good bomb was a chlorine one.

Me and my brother used to constantly break my old man's things... tools, gadgets etc. It was funny to think I had 'gotten away with it' at the time.... until now, I have 2 kid sof my own and the eldest boy breaks all my things.... It's karma I guess !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
