Forrest was just a reasonable B grader at Districts but was one of your A grade 'guns' this year AF...

Massive step up...

maybe in the first half of the year when everything was going his way............ie winning.
I know there is a gap but a player like Hinsley could make the transition fairly easy IMO.

He has plenty of potential, for sure.

But he is miles off on 2008 form.

Hinsley apparently has told North Haven that he wont be out there next year and was seen training at Districts.

Would he get a gig in the one's? He would be close but not a certainty IMO.
So is he rated a replaceable Same Old?
Everyone is replaceable, they have to be. He is definitely a quality footballer and only young to. Played some very impressive games in the A's at North Haven early on and then I think the strain of backing up for two games each week (Agrade and U/18's) and a crook knee took its toll.
There is a fair group of young lads coming through from the 18's last year who could fill his spot. Probably no one a skillful as Hinsley though, would love to still have him at North Haven

He played a couple of games early on in the year which were pretty good............he's the type of player who could turn it on for a quarter or two. When he turned it on he stood out above everyone on the ground. A bit like Dempsey when he is on.

dont get my wrong AF i think hinso is a class player and i wouldnt know how big the gap is in the 2 divisions, but i have watched a bit of both grades and div 1 looks a lot better standard, i would like to see him succeed at a div 1 club just think he will need a few more years development before he becomes a regular in there A grade

He is a skillful palyer but another ting that he would get caught out for is his size!
would get bodied out alot of the time by the bigger men in div 1!
didnt effect him in div 4 cause of his skill, but everyone in div 1 would be as good as him if not better so he couldnt just rely on that!!
get on board the thunder train!!!

mate there are bigger bodies in Div 4 this year than Div 1............Div 1 is alot quicker for sure but wouldn't say bigger bodies. And if you have skill which he has it doesn't matter how big they are. Time will tell I guess.

i just think if andrew shepley cant get a gig in there A's hinso wouldnt have a hope in hell, hinso would be a touch taller than shep but sheps skills and intensity puts hinso to shame, thats were im getting point of view from

If the Mexican can go from playing Div 4 to Div 1, Hinso should be right, the key for him is application.
I'm with you Amber the division gap is all in the head, if your a class player you will adjust accordingly, the same goes for dropping divisions, many a good player has been found out dropping to a lower grade because it's in their head it's gonna be easy

do they play the same position though? I don't know the guy you are talking about and I hardly know Hinsley but what I saw in a couple of games would suggest he has the goods to play regular Div 1 footy.

yes both onballers that go forward and shep is definatly the better out of the two but on the other hand i do thing hinso is a good player and could make it at a div 1 levell but i think he will need a year or 2 to mature as a div 1 footballer
