Round 6 Tips
Div 1

Paralowie vs North East Knights - Toughest game to pick, i just tossed a coin :)
Fitzroy vs Morialta - Morialta expected to be back to full strength will Balneaves, Hill, Baker, Creaman to come in.
Para Vista vs Rose Park - just keep getting the job done.

Div 2

NEK vs Adel Lutheran - Good one day side
AC Blues vs Seaton - Going nicely
Western X1 vs Wolves - an upset, Ross Hand finding some form

Div 3

Fitzroy vs Central mission - too strong with full squad
Enfield vs Paralowie - Enfield undermanned, Paralowie to pounce
Eastside vs Brooky Pk - Eastside with momentum, BP long way off the mark.

i disagree.

if we had all the best players representing the state side, we would be a force to tackle any district team.

OH MY !

You have got to be kidding me...

hehe...my apologies on that one. i think we have some great players. i know of a player (he shall remain anonomys) who left Div1 a while back and walked into a premier leauge turf team and did quite well. i use him as a measuring stick and look at the talent in this comp and i think the great players in this comp could be more than competitive in the right environment.

we have to all realise SACCA is social. no one gets paid....and there are lots in PARADIRSTRICTS that do...whether it be monetary, weed, or other. dangle the same carrot in SACCA teams and watch the good teams field great players week in and week out. If i knew i can get 100 buck a week/game for playing cricket, i certaily wouldnt be taking out the ski boats as often as some people too. This is fact.

i think marshall was ex district......what grade. anyone?? lets measure him up against other people and decide huh. not trying to be distrespectful to anyone here.....but it will be a good measuring stick as i think he is a good bat....albeit a slapper at time hehehee....

peace to all

Are you refering to young Jonathon Kirby formerly from BP went to west torrens?

Marshall i believe played juniors and C & D grade district at TTG. (Was a premiership captain u/16's)
Robbie Muir from Western X1 i believe also has ties to Kensington.
Mark Woolcock from Central Mission is a prospect junior and i think Matt Bedgegood East Torrens junior.
Ian Kinsman Prospect bowler in the hay day.
Craig Keil from TTG

anymore im missing? No real star district players though

I've known Shaun for nearly 20 years. As far as I'm aware he has never played grade cricket.

PS. Craig Kiel...from TTG ? He played grade cricket ? I remember him playing against Salisbury West's D grade many moons ago. He used to tell people how quick he was. Rated himself for a medium pacer. They had a keeper named Kriewoldt playing then too.

Out of Championship side, Bedgegood expected replacement.

Bedgegood should have been in the side anyway, did he not score a 100 in the championships a few years ago?
Bedgegood very slow in the field but

Dont think making 100 should grant you automatic selection do you? If better players are available then you must go for them, lets also remember that Bedgegood got lucky last time in the fact he was selected in the 2nd side otherwise would not have had the opportunity.

He is slow no doubting but has very good hands, possible play him in the slips?

well he has got lucky again now, hoping it has the same effect again. how does the team rate in terms of in the field? may have your batting and bowling, also need to take into account the old cliche 'catches win matches'

Yep...never played Grade 1.

Paralowie were a consistent Grade 2 and 3 side in PDCA also. Granted Quinton Graham wasn't playing a lot of the time but still, they never had a good time of it in Grade 1....in fact, I cant even remember them playing Grade 1.

Quinno has played one game in the last 3 seasons so i dont think he is the reason the team is on the way up

Realise he hasn't played for a while....thought he'd played this year though. My bad.

You gotta admit though, you boys had limited success in PDCA Grades 1 & 2. And this isn't bagging Paralowie, just pointing out an example between the 2 comps. As was brought up before.

i'v been at paralowie for a long time now and yes R/R i agree in the higher grades of PDCA we didnt have a lot of success only winning div 3 flags but we also didnt have the side we do now in that era not saying we'd win a div1 flag now or anything just saying its a much better team now than what weve had in the past.
