You're right Big Phil !!!
From memory... because it's the only time I've/we've ever been there.
We were up on a 'hill' sort of thing overlooking the jetty etc.

I couldn't believe that I'd never heard of this place before and yet it was so extremely busy and popular.

So yep.
Venus Bay it is O:)

I recognised that jetty straight away, stayed at Port Kenny once for a holiday and went round to Venus for some fishing.

I lost my ex's old mans fishing rod off that jetty and had to dive in to get the bloody thing. Good spot to drop a line at Venus.

You know, maybe it's just me but I don't think I've ever read anything that's ever made me want to travel to a place that much in my life before. :)

No, but i have fished a couple of times at Mt Camel beach for monster Salmon. Mt Camel is just south of Venus Bay/Pt Kenny.

Fantastic, unspoilt spot.

Not Back Beach Ian but getting close.

Hello? i said there is no swell because look at the pic, there is none.... if it is sceale it does the beach no justice.... one of the best reef breaks in the world lies on the southern edge of sceale and you haven't captured that at all. plus that pic could be any number of west coast beaches, sceale, greenly, sheringa... and many others

Not sure if you have been there deemu

How can you take a picture of the beach and get the island/slade point bommie in the photo? Suggest you look at a map.

when are you going up Streaky way shrek? I'll be up there for New Years Eve, might see you in th pub!

CORRECT...

Byron off course ended up back in Ceduna after he left the Maggies at the start of the year because he was looking after his sick father over there...

Yeah Ian, I've put pics up of churhes in Clare, Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens, Town Hall in Mt Gambier etc etc...

I do like coastal places and I travel to a fair few with work so often take plenty of snaps from these locations ;)
