Renmark won by about 60 runs.
Derek Stevens 68, Tony Victor 40, Brodie O'Dea five wickets.

Brodie O'Dea? The gun recruit everyone has been talking about.

I hear that Renmark have picked up Nick Wade too. Was playing footy and cricket for Berri a couple of weeks ago. Now it seems he is playing footy for Barmera and cricket for Renmark. Could strengthen their line up a little bit.

What is everyone's opinions on whether the hard wicket change up should be allowed? We have always been against it but will do it to keep up with the other teams on the ladder, especially as Waikerie were at home and surely would have played on hard wicket. Does anyone know the score of that game?

We made 118 NS

If we held our chances it would have been ALOT closer.

Disappointed to lose that one, a game we had every shot at.

You guys didn't put a catch down and that won you the game in the end.

Sorry to get that wrong SS. Even Paul Collins, West Adelaide coach, makes mistakes. Your guys were all crowded around the scorebook checking what they got when we came off so didn't get a chance to check it.

I guess there are always a lot of what ifs in a game of cricket, but it was a bit hairy there for a while on Saturday. You are right DW, catches win matches. Did we drop Pearson first ball before he went on to make about 44 though? I can't actually remember if anyone in the slips got a hand to it.

From Mildura CN. Played footy at Gol Gol, not sure about cricket but he looked alright at training. I assume he would make Renmark's side.

No one got a hand to it coz it flew a bit too wide and zinged past off the middle of the bat.

I dunno NS, I reckon I have every right to be annoyed to have lost it by that much when throughout the day we were not far behind and even on top of the best side in the comp.

To be dwelling at the bottom, or near the bottom of the ladder @ this stage is frustrating too. I don't think we're the worst side in the comp.

Haha. It's hard to argue with the ladder though! ;)
Having said that, I think it's the most even competition we've had for a while.

At 6/82 it's probably fair to say you had the upper hand, but we like wins like that, where we are able to get ourselves out of a hole. Shows a bit of character.

Certainly is an even comp. Loxton are bound to win a couple, so it will be a fair three way fight for 3rd, 4th and 5th I think.

TC won't be back until February. He's getting a hernia op and something else in the shin region in early January, so he may get in a couple of games before finals. Not sure about the crafty bowling mentioned in the paper CN. ;)

Correct SS. Had him craftily caught on the boundary.

And yes, there is a cherry someone's pad strap from the other one. The crafty appealing from square leg caused a nose bleed of some sort I think.

Doc was undone by the "trap". Very crafty.

Your pads must have a cherry from a ball that flicked them earlier in the day coz the ball has a splinter with your name on it after you flicked it through to the keeper.

As for the nosebleed ...... Karma

The nosebleed was quite amusing. As for the dismissal, I'm booked in for a pad strapping lesson with Neil Weinert on Thursday night. They won't be sticking out towards square leg again.

Monash knocked off Berri today. Scored 3/168 off their 45 overs. Berri all out for 153 approximately. All out off the last ball.

I hear that Renmark knocked off Loxton so I guess they are BIT. Interesting competition.
