You fight like a girl
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Could this be the beginning of a new trend? Who'll be the first to actually scone the war pig on the snout?

A little Psyber moment having been to the middle east. DB it's a cultural thing. No idea of the history of it but showing the bottom of your feet (with or without shoes) is one of the biggest insults over there. My guide always gently reminded me about it whenever we were invited to join locals for refreshments.

Don't know if you watched it on tv at the time but when the Yanks put on that performance over there of pulling down the Saddam statue most of the locals started hitting it with shoes.

To quote David Brent, "He's thrown a shoe over a building, what have you ever done?"

Great clip by the way, hadn't seen that one before. A shame a brick wasn't inside it.

The irony in all this is that they are still holding the reporter without charge. Didn't you bring democracy to this State, Mr Bush?

'Shoe Shed Shoe Shed Leave the others for dead'........ sing it everybody....

I reckon is he aimed a bit lower, say at the guts region, he would have connected. He would have needed to side step and perhaps may have been caught in two minds about whether he could duck or step, then as he recovers from the first, the second shoe could have sconned him between the eyes.
