Bit out of the loop these days spintwin, but I know who the most in-form Div.1 night-watchman is at the minute.. ;)

On the bowling front, I've heard good things about Creaman from Morialta. Hilly & Crackers back for them are handy in's. Bit more daunting than Matty Beer.. ;) A fully fit Gigs would be up there. Vines from PV up there. Dutchy has bowled some great spells this year, got to be in contention for Top 5. Scott Morris still the best spinner in the comp by a country mile and would pole-up for a minimum 30 wickets if he played a full season. If Spry backed up his gob, he'd be in the changeroom at the WACA as I type.. ;) Seriously, the lad must have some talent. Dave Placucci has done okay for a bloke who bowls flat nudeys.

Don't know much about the NE Knights boys. And a bit out of touch with who's the duck's guts with the willow these days, so best not to comment.

Cant beleive the wickets Dave Placucci is getting. He bowls as straight as Moronie from fitzroy used to. Croydon boy is dave

Sounds stupid but i think the draw will determine how they go, if they can get off to a good start then momentum and confidence will take over and they will give it a decent crack.. anything can happen..

Reidy def. massive loss but cant dwell, just means pressure is on bedgie to prove they made the right swap but i guess we have seen the fat little big mouth do it before haha

You're right PG. It sounds stupid. ;)

With all due respect, im sure the side going away is good enough and i have no doubts they can win it, as long as you dont get ambitions mixed with abilities.. better to err on the side of caution, if you are over confident im sure you will fail, turn to channel nine for such proof ;) :P

Ahhh contrair, oh seemingly wise one.. How can the program affect anyone's chances in a round robin draw when everyone plays everyone..?? :p ;) The only ones playing 'home' matches are the Vics. There are no excuses when the side has played 2 lead-up matches already as a unit. 8)

Agreed but obviously certain sides will be stronger or weaker than others, if the side is matched against under strength sides perhaps ego will take over and vice versa..

I know Dwayen Heke! Massive lump of a lad, just a filthy slogger i would say, runs around in a number 12 jumper during the winter ;)

I would like to know how you know the guy.. His 23 and lives in Melbourne and has never played nationals

Not even you can predict who'll be strong and who won't PG.. :p ;) Take NSW at the last nationals as an example. Most successful Churches state team in Championship history. They were a complete rabble and finished stone motherless last! Even our B Team (SA Gold) of no-names stitched them up on the last day of competition to rub salt into the open wound and ensure they finished 6th.

All comes down to who's available from each Association and who wants it the most.

Is Creaman the slogger that stood at his crease for about a minute on the weekend when he got out, trying to tell the umpire the ball hit his helmet strap?

I wasn't at the game young Pidgey, but I think you're on the money.. ;) By the way, The Association will be aiming at trying to form an under 21's side against Adel & Suburban next CUSA Cup round if we can swing it. Ya should've come out to a few trainings in the lead up to the upcoming Nationals mate, would've been good experience if nothing else, and who knows...?? Ya might've been on the plan in 9 days time! ;) Keep up your good form. 8)

Never assume anything mate. ;) The Association coaches are keen to invest the time and effort into helping players who want to learn and improve their games. Sure, there's only room for so many (12) for CUSA Cup matches and (13) for the Nationals, but it's also about providing a vehicle for young blokes like yourself to get better and challenge yourselves. 8)

Training against the best within the Association is good for your game, and in my experiences in cricket, young blokes can perform some pretty amazing feats when they go up a level or two, even stuff they never even thought they were capable of. :D

Top 5 bats are (in no order) automaticwicky, carey, magpies96, punky and bloodybouncer. Top 5 bowlers are (in no order) bloodybouncer, pidge, magpies96, carey18 and carey.

What are the details of an under21 side, we have quite a few that may be interested.

Yes Pidge, creaman was the slogger and i must say a pretty good all round cricketer, hit the stumps from side on 2 out of 2 attempts, solid bowler too.

Good news for the National side.. Mamoth Vic hitter Dwayne Heke will not be playing nationals due to his commitment to golf. He only plays cricket when he hasnt got golf on
