Saturday is when the hard stuff begins, but breakfast and lunch is all catered for. We get flogged for the day, then go out for a pub meal that night and hit the Crown until the wee hours. Bit of a swim Sunday morning and then we're off back home.

We officially start Jan 13th. WIll be an interesting preseason with a few different things planned, including a camp at Vic Harbour again. Looking forward to it all.

I guess you'll just have to wait. Hopefully we earn our spot back into Div 6 next year and we'll see ya in 2010.
So from what I've been told Houghton have nominated for Div 7?? And the reasoning behind that?
From the outside it probably seems like an odd decision. But with Starry gone, Dow needing surgery on his hand and not available to play, and with Dwyer, Fish, Penn and Ballatori all uncertain to play next year, that's six of our top A Graders missing from a team that finished last this year. We might be able to fill a couple of those holes, but it wouldn't be enough to keep us from getting spanked every week. Hopefully we can have a more successful year in 2009, keep the morale high and give us something to build on.

Ballatori I believe is the guy who has or did have dreadlocks? Reminded me of John Butler Trio, back a couple of yrs ago!
Good player and if I remember correctly kicked 6 against us in a final a few years ago and all 6 were on mehaha oh dear!
Penn will also be a big miss, hard tough player

Yep, still does that run. Kept telling us we'd be so knackered after the day that we wouldn't make it past midnight at the Crown. I said "You're not at Hope Valley anymore!"![]()
