I avoid soft drinks that have tartrazine [102] in them. It is a cause of asthma attacks, skin rashes, and hyperactivity in kids.
Nearly all the yellow soft drinks contain it! Check them out and run a "Coke is healthier!" campaign as a stir... ;)

As a grade 7 teacher, some of the pricks I have taught could do with a decent smack on the hand. I can see how a teacher could do 6 rulers in one term!!!

Catch the 132 or 135 from Mooringe Ave into Glenelg as a 10 year old to do some xmas shopping.
Know way I'd let any of my kids do that now.

47c to buy a pie or coke from the Camden Primary canteen which was located out of the brick wall of a neighbouring factory.
Snips or razz's were 18c.

Riding to school without a helmet.
Not an incident of road rage in sight.

Playing defender at charcoal chickens,, cnr of Anzac Hwy and Stonehouse Ave...........classic.
10c per player

YES! Remember sitting in the front seat of Nan's old Holden, great memories of her stating "Round the jolly 'orner" as she swung the car around the corners and sliding across the seat.

Big corners, like the roundabout on Phillip Hwy outside Holdens factory would have her slap the arm across my chest to stop the slide!

haha...impossible for a small child not to slide across polished leather seats...I remember doing the same in my granny's Humber and if she braked a bit too hard then I'd slide straight off the seat and end up in a heap in the footwell...happy days  ;)
