mate morphett vale is one of the, if not the biggest suburbs in adelaide so from the talent pool alone you would expect them to produce a number of quality players and the clubs that surround you, have not been successful in the last 10-15 years(except for div 2) and therefore you attract even more juniors because as the old saying goes everyone wants to be a winner, so by pure numbers you are going to produce more players, nobby and mahoney havent played for morphies for 10+ years they both never come back from south although i do get your point there are alot of very good players from down at wheatsheaf road
who ever thought of the saying winning isn't everything, probably lost!!

yes u are absolutely correct with mahoney and nobby not playn at m/vale for over 10 yrs,but the only reason they are playn else where is because of cash its plain and simple,if m/vale could offer these 2 boys wot jervois pay them then they would be at m/vale,that is the point im trying to get across.

Dont know why your talking about these two. they never came back and we didnt need them too. end of story. We still won 4 without these blokes. there are heaps of blokes at morphies that should be on more coin than those two but choose to stay.
Beat the whites of eggs with a pinch of salt until stiff...Continue beating, gradually adding sugar, vinegar and vanilla, until of thick consistency.

Firstly who is Hewitt? Familar with all the others, just not him, Secondly i doubt Wilsons would have made the premiership teams at M/Vale. . . .This agruement can be used for many other clubs though . . Aldinga would have never missed finals if juniors had not left to go play at other clubs such as Willunga. . PORTLOCK, CARNEVALE and JACQUES just to name a few,

Prob not a bad move, not like they'll hang around all season when they get flogged first few rounds, although since they got $10000 from radio player's might be after more $$.

Really... you've lost Moore, missed out on Sherwood, lost players to D.Evans an co. at Edwardstown. Lost a few others elsewhere all of which are A graders and there's even some forum bickering between wineflys. Ok... yeh... all is good I guess.

I think everyone knows that the bickering is not between Reynella people but a former Reynella person.

Kane Hewitt played for Cove before he was an Emu. Maybe we should add him to the players the Cobras have lost ? Most sides have a similar story.

Don't quote me on this but I think he's had a run with Towns before Cove.

Hewitt played under 15 and 17 at cove so unless he played for the towns as a very young kid i would say he was from cove

its not just because of the $10k that is going towards juniors etc. we do have money for players as president and co. looked at player payments from last year and are going to spend the money more wiser this year.

[
11 of us have played in the 5 (Hams, Steele, Mcgowan, Portlock, Mcdonald, Carnevale, Radbone, Dobson, Wadewitz, Glass and Baxter). Theres another 3 or 4 that have played in 3 of them that played this year. There were 3 first time winners this year in Ryan, Genovese and Garrett.

SB any truth that J Rigney getting $200 a game to come to you boys? If true there is not 1 player at Willunga getting this amount so to even question whether we r an exception is ridiculous. Every club has a budget and ours would be no bigger than any others.[/quote]

BJ dont insult me with untruths re player payments at Willunga? Personally I dont care what who is or is not one as it was not a question that I asked more so something that you posted!

Name the players SB. Unless im extremely wrong the money is wider spread across the group rather than a few getting big money. In the end it doesnt make any difference to me.

I believe the debate started with are willunga an exception re coin. Theres no quick fix to a teams problems, money helps but doesnt kick the footy for you. Sides that win flags are usually stable, around the mark for a year or 2 and then add the missing pieces and if you're in the right place, right time then u manage to snare one. Morphies before there run of 4, Cove before this year are great examples. Other clubs like Reynella, Brighton havent been able to snare the big one but have been successful without winning the flags. Their time will come (much to everyones disgust in Reynellas case) and that will be the biggest party ever because of all of the 'so close' years.

Back to SB, its a small world also doesnt make sense? what are you referring to on this?
