Kahn out for 90.

Over 67.5: Hauritz to Khan, no run, OUT, Younus Khan knicks it into the ground and rolls into the stumps knocking over the off bail. Hauritz gets his second!

Over 67.4: Hauritz to Khan, no run

Over 67.3: Hauritz to Khan, no run, APPEAL, Younus Khan attempts to sweep but hits him on the body. Slip runs down to short fine leg to claim the catch but is denied

Game over IMHO, 2 points would have been better than none but again the improvement continues

Lets be honest here. We have improved greatly but we were never going to get alot of runs on the last day. Hell Klinger and Borgas both said in the media it was hard yards out there on that pitch. NSW did us no favours for batting so long and we should have returned the favour. People are going on about 6 points getting us to a grand final, it wasnt going to happen this year. 2 points is better than 0 points, at the end of the day NSW win this outright, we have out usual after xmas disaster and this result could leave us bottom yet again

locky, for goodness sake, 2 points means nothing. Look at the table.

1 NSW declared at 6/483 and if they had batted on, would probably have made 600 plus. If they had wanted to, they could comfortably have had the 2 first innings points. Do you agree? If not, why not?

2 You're presuming we would have made 500 ourselves. You've just seen us struggle to make 220 today.

3 We had a 50/50 chance of getting 2 points. By declaring, we finished up with a 50/50 chance of getting 6 points.

We just weren't good enough.

In either innings.

Sheffield Shield Table
(all teams 4 games left)

Vic 28
Qld 20
Tas 18
WA 12
NSW 10
SA 8

SA 2 outright wins out of 2nd place, if Qld don't get a point.

With a first innings win, SA would be 2 outright wins out of 2nd place, if Qld don't get a point.

1. They should have declared earlier
2. At 3/304 in the first dig, it was every chance
3. Not 50/50 with the Redbacks, as soon as a couple of wickets fall, the egg shells come out, which it did today

We were good enough in the 1st innings.

I agree, any talk of making the final this year means you are super optimistic, but not realistic. I say take the points where you can.

We should of gone for first innings points, it was impossible, especially for the Redbacks to chase down and win today.

Just because we now have Klinger, doesn't mean we can chase down mammoth scores and win.

So the egg shells come out if a couple of wickets fall, but they wouldn't have in the first innings

You're supposing a lot there and you conveniently ignore NSW's declaration.

Exactly, it was never going to happen, but give it a crack rather than celebrating a meaningless potential 2 lousy points.
