from memory, this is how i reacted...in order as well
1. shock horror at the sight of so much blood pooring out of a small hole (nostril)
2. internal elation and jubilation....a coming of age sensation
3. shallow remorse shown
4. assistance to carry the injured victim, i mean cicketer, off
5. assistance refused
6. team mates tap me on the shoulder as we all watch the guy get carried off
7. a few high fives, bum slaps
8. comments a plenty on how much blood was present.....and how it was silly to try and hook me
9. massive sledging for the next batter (who was wearing a helmet)
10. game over (we lost too!)
11. a night of reminition, more jubilation, big high fives, and free drinks for me.
12. bragging rights for cricketing career
all in all, well worth it and quite memorable.
