I think you would of had a few tears as 3/4 of teams were made up of the players you think are quality players but most people would call them thugs. Im talking about teams like Kilburn, Riverside, Modbury,TTP, Salisbury Central and so on. If you guys think the Drapers were the so called thugs of the SFL they were placid even if they did hold back alot. Also hackam hawk sice when does a running player get involved in a 1 on 1 contest? shouldn't they be running past at the correct time to receive the peel?

So your saying that if the opposition was going for a loose ball and the only other player within range to get the ball first was one of your running players, you would rather him wait for one of your in and under players to get there...then run past...? Doesnt really make sense to me...

I didn't find SAAFL dirty at all in my single season, I even saw people get penalised for swearing in the middle of a contest, although I didn't play any of the sides your mentioned.

Mind you, I was rather perturbed by the lack of league supplied umpires; only field in the A's and nothing for the magoo's and the quality. You could see this getting abused, especially in the lower grades.

Draper boys have certainly been guilty of, how did barry hall put it, "brain freezes" from time to time.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I can't see the top 6 changing too much, you boys will certainly be around the mark along with Rams, Flaggies and Parks. Your games against these clubs will be crucial...
