You don't seem to have much choice in the meat dept over there

Haven't tried Skippy...yet...but current favourite would be roast Babe or Bambi.

Love Croc but not a red meat. Emu okay but perhaps a bit salty. Havent had buffalo or camel yet but willing to try all.

Doesn't anyone else think it's barbaric to have a craving specifically for the adolescent form of an animal? Especially when they actually call it by it's true name..."lamb"? Most other animals it's "beef", "pork", "bacon"...euphimisms, anything rather than say "I had a cow steak for dinner." or "I ate some pig last night."
Now me, I voted "kangaroo". Notice I didn't specify "joey"? I could imagine the uproar if I did. But it seems to be alright to kill sheep children specifically for food. What about calf? Anyone for cow calf? I reckon every lamb chop sold should come with a photo of the actual lamb which the chop came from and a little spiel about how that lamb used to frolic happily with all the other lambs, and a little tape recording of the little lamb's voice as it was seperated from its mother.
Hell I never thought about this in depth before, but they run some pretty hard hitting campaigns to shock people into driving safely, I reckon I could come up with a good campaign that would hit the lamb industry right where it hurts.
"Who will explain to this sheep why her child is not coming home tonight?" (guy wipes lamb grease and gravy from his mouth, and looks apprehensively at the camera as the voice over returns) "...ewe?"
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Isn't veal from a calf ?

And as for the Lamb bit, they only slaughter the ugly ones......
