0.4 Steyn to Hayden, FOUR
0.3 Steyn to Hayden, FOUR, well this is more like the Hayden we know. Hayden moves across a touch and scoops it over covers for a boundary and he is away. Such a relief
0.2 Steyn to Hayden, no run, outside the off stump and wide. Hayden has a go at it but can't beat Amla at short cover
0.1 Steyn to Hayden, no run, outside the off stump and on a good length. Hayden, comes forward and defends it. What will comfort him is it hit the middle of the bat
Look out!!!!

Four lines of cracks running up and down the pitch, it's not going to be easy with the inner two lines of cracks for any batsmen.

Can't see Hayden lasting too long with this approach although it would be great to see him hit a quickfire ton.

Hayden was absolutely plumb. I can't believe how much good fortune he has had this series with LB's not being given and edges falling just short of the slips.

Yeah i was unlucky not to win lotto last night...

He should have had Smith Caught behind and he had a couple of LBW decisions go against him today that i am sure you would agree Dutchy were very out. Yes a wicketless first innings in his test career but IMO he bowled reasonably well and showed some promising signs that show to me that he is worth persisting with.

Dutchy have you seen much of Bollinger bowl in Shield cricket? He is a very good bowler mate. Just give him a chance.

Will admit I havent seen him bowl but the ABC commentators (and not Kerry) were relating yesterday that he is a one end bowler at the SCG and if he doesnt bowl from that end, he isn't that much

Bollinger needs more than 1 innings to be judged on

Geez if we judged on first innings performances Shane Warne would have been burnt at the stake.....

As Rooster Marty said to me there is no point arguing with Dutchy. He thinks Katich is a hack as well. Each to their own but i wish there were more hacks in the side if Katich is one.

Despite all the seemingly bizarre decisions lately we have to give the selectors props for persisting with Siddle. Excellent decision on what we've seen. :)

Yeah while I was right in calling that Hayden was shot after the India series I admit judging him on his first two Tests I was wrong about Siddle. These last two matches he's been our best bowler.

Yes Siddle certaintly bends his back and gives plenty. He needs to learn to swing the ball a bit, I understand that he is still very young and raw, I just think with his ability to continue bowling at that speed, if he could learn to swing the ball and later in the day learn some reverse swing he would become a huge asset to the team

At this stage Johnson has been our best allround player but I fear hes going to collaspe from exhaustion soon!
Siddle is starting to come good and yes Bollinger was unluckly at times. But thats how it goes. Lee was also unlucky at times again thats how it goes.

Now as far as the spinner goes, at times Hauritz was good, but still the spinner option at the moment doesnt seem to be working no does it. When we go to South Africa we really should consider 4 seasmers with part time spinners in clarke and D.Hussey.

Anyway I wish I won the lotto! But alas im at work today!
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards
