Id like to hear from some of the locals on this thing that are slipping on the boots this year, what their opinions are of how this year may go or whether they think its a good thing that the adelaide blokes are making their way up to magpie land..

Plus the 2 that were there equals 8 locals. I'm not trying to be a smartar$e, surely Karoonda have more locals than that.

I have heard that it was a good training from people that went.

I do believe as the season gets closer there will be a lot of locals come out and get into things.

Simon is retired. Plays golf on Saturday's. Think his brother plays for Tailem Bend now too.

Agree DW. Have told him he's soft. He's got a little one on the way as well which might be another reason he's not playing.

His brother is still a junior and I dont think Karoonda fielded a junior side last season.

I'm pretty sure Karoonda had enough numbers for both junior grades last season.

Dylan Caldwell has definately signed, good player and has won 2 div 1 flags with the phantoms, however has played 8 games in two years at the club and has put on considerable weight over that time.

Jacko and Barrat also played with the phantoms, Jacko told he wasnt required after 6 games. this was over 8 years ago though and he might have improved.

Barrat only played two games a couple of years ago and looked way out of place in div 2 SAAFL. Way too slow.

Played against Smelty when he played for Payneham and to tell you the truth he didnt set the world on fire and then settled for the easy country game of footy. Highly overated.

Dont worry though boys, you will get all your players back once the money dries up and I can guarantee when this happens smelty will find another club to rob. He will only coach a club with money.
