Who's next?

Since everyone got what they wanted with Hayden, I thought it might be time to find out who will be the next target. I've excluded Brett Lee because the knives are already out for him.

I don't think any of those blokes have an issue atm. Not any time soon anyway.....

Personally, I don't think Katich holds any great value for Australian cricket. Not entirely sure we have a better option though, I think all 4 of those players are safe until at least the end of the Ashes.

Not even worth a vote at this stage however if they dont perform in the next 3 to 6 months could be interesting, IMHO I think Katich has done particularly well, and in fact a hell of alot better than many thought he could do

agreed, if he on the poll i would have voted for him, ill put my vote for punter tho, other blokes seem to be doing enuff and i believe that clarke will take the reins soon and punter will retire shortly after.

i dare say we need to give james hopes another chance in test cricket, i just believe his stamina and 5 day ability much outweighs symonds and or watson atm.

If not bring in the X-MAN lol

Katich
Jacques (or North if inj)
Ponting
Hussey
Clarke
Hopes (or symonds)
Haddin
Johnson
X.Doherty
Hilfenhaus
Tait

Hauritz
Bracken (this fella really needs to get bak in the baggy green!)
Hodge

How about 'none for the next couple of years'? That is the preferred option at the moment I'd reckon.

Ok ill start form the top. North is not an opener. I would have him in the side though at 6. Hopes, well I feel McDonald is the same value from that point.
Hodge is a nicker and will get found out against good bowling. Warner is not a test player at the moment, let him make some first class runs first. And Unavailability of siddle - ?

How could you possibly suggest picking Warner in the Test side? It astounds me how carried away people can get with a guy hitting a couple of big sixes.

I think all 4 of them are travelling allright, Hussey has had a bad summer, he'll bounce back. We need Clark out there, Punter is still the backbone and Katich has been sensational in his return to test cricket. None would have to be logical.
