welcome Ted...perhaps you should introduce yourself!!!! do i know you ??

BB will be there if picked.....pretty tough to get a gig in the team these days. The association should ensure they have a cortisone shot ready for me...its the least they can do. Bring on Adelaide oval too....should be everyones ambition to play on there. It should be a call to arms.

IMO, come CUSA cup round there should be no sceduled rounds for the churches league. If everone is passionate about playing as much cricket as they can (as most people say)...then they would make themselves available for the CUSA squad, including U21s. Those that do not make the team should come support the sqaud.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!!

Training for the last round of CUSA Cup, played on 1/2/09 at Mitchell Park Oval against Adelaide & Suburban will be on Monday 19/1/09 and Monday 26/1/09 (Public Holiday) at Para Vista's training facilities, the Good Shepherd Lutheran Primary School on Montague Rd, commencing at 5:30pm. The side will be announced after training on 26/1/09.

Please take this back to your Clubs guys, as the next delegate's meeting is on 19/1/09 - when we'll be training.. Open invitation to ALL Clubs.

Any queries about any of the above, or indeed if there are any queries or feedback about our representative cricket in CCC&A, please contact either coaches : Mark Weinert (Wino) on 0437718576, or Scott Morris (Scooter) on 0403761983.

BB, not sure whether we can tee up a cortisone shot mate, but Aistrope is a qualified paramedic, so we'll make sure he is on-hand to administer any emergency treatment that may be required.. ;)

When i played in the SCA it was the same, 2 minor round Sat/Sun games and finals Sat/Sun. I think it just tidys the seasons up bit more, also gives chance to avoid heat wave and NR like last seasons GF (which im sure Fitzroy are still rueing)

rueing is far too generous. The teams thats didnt get to contest the GF are after someones blood. Have a chat to the NEK boys too and they will tell you all about it. Nevermind the fact it was an extraordinary heat wave.....

The rules, as they were, meant the game could not be awarded to anyone, and the team finishing higher had no right to be awarded the premiership. This is fact, as interpreted by the rules as they were written. The intent of the rules involved, as explained by the exec, was different to what was written. Absolultely not good enough. Spend more time getting the rules to reflect your intent. I had provided proposed changes....dunno if they were incorporated this year.

dont push my button phantom......you will make me draw blood real soon :P

I anticipate the day you manage to draw my blood ;) :P

Young Pidge, i look forward with great interest to seeing you at the CUSA training. As has been noted, regardless of whether you believe yourself to be worthy its always good to test your limits against quality opposition and to try and get as much out of these trainings as possible. Who knows what may happen ;)

Thanks for the welcome BB

might seam a little over excited by your ideas but i have been playing in this comp
for ages now and its good to get some fresh thoughts flowing.
You might not be completely right regarding cancelling matches on w/e' s that the
association team plays, as gathering support for this might be hard- but atleast your
thinking!
There are too many people in our asociation that are quick to critisize how we are run
but dont have any suggestions themselves on how to better it.

while i'm here......
before the independant central teams came along this association was dieing a slow ,painfull
death. Now we have fresh teams in the comp. under a new name and the competition is MUCH
stronger.

Your 100% correct. Perhaps if clubs better supported the assoc regardless of whether they agree we may be able to grow stronger still.

Independant central was a dieing comp as well.. a win for all concerned

I used to be a big fan of sat/sun finals, however since coming over to Churches ive changed my mind. Years ago we won a grand final in independent central, went back to the club to celebrate and being a sunday night it was pretty low key. Since being in churches ive played in 2 winning grand finals and the celebrations afterwards have been awesome. Saturday night grand final parties kick arse.
