I don't think you understand BALLHOG, JTC. He is a one eyed man united band wagon jumper on from the mid nineties. His old man is from Birmingham so why wouldn't he support Villa or Birmingham City who Stan the man Lazaridis was playing for?

You can say what you want Tooting you sour Tottenham supporter. You know how the story goes so don't go talking shit. I've got a soft spot for Birmingham but as a kid loved Mark Hughes.

Yeah I figured that Tooting. I was just having a rib

United are well known for having more "away" fans than home ones. Man City has long since been regarded as the team for the locals.

btw, decent crowd tonight. Just over 73,000. Sure it was a good 12,000 short of capacity but you have to remember that a mid-week game is usually to far to travel for the United home fans  ;)

My son watched it on sky upstairs. I just caught the highlights. Derby looked pretty good. this will do a world of good to their confidence.

Funnily, I watched a really good interview with Cloughie jnr at the weekend. Talked a lot of sense. One thing he said was that the players were afraid of playing football because they are afriad of making a mistake.

He was saying that they haven't had a decent run since getting promoted to the EPL and now they expect that as soon as they make a mistake the crowd is on their backs and they will go on to lose, so instead of trying and making a mistake, they play it safe.

I can understand where he is coming from too. You can get out of the habit of winning and when you do, you then lose the confidence in your own ability.

This performance might just be the turning point. not for this year but maybe for next.

I think Cloughy jnr will be a good get for the club. Burton Albion are flying and he left them in good shape, and looking for a League 2 spot. So he can get a team up and going. Just hope the Derby nutters over there give him a chance.....

Nah. Liverpool always get a good crowd to a mid-week game. None of them have to get up for work the next day ;)

Utd's kids are shiessen and showed has far behind the CCC the EPL's reserves sides are.

Well played to Derby, but it wasn't to be. It's a compliment to the Rams that SAF had to send on Ronaldo to ensure victory.

COYS tomorrow night.

Pretty decent fight by Derby and I'm sure their fans at Old Trafford would have enjoyed seeing their side score a couple of goals. 14th domestic final for Sir Alex now? Not a bad record that.

Was going to have a punt on this game but JTCs snow and sleet talk has scared me off.
I'll get more enthused about the final if Spurs make it as I have a real soft spot for Burnley.
