Also heard that Dwayne Colson has gone to Westies.

Big gain for them, the kid is all class if he can keep his head on his shoulders.

I've heard Leigh Symons has signed for a club in Port Augusta.

I think you are dreaming if you think he is getting paid $50 a game.
He is worth what ever westies are paying him.
You only have to remember that in 2007 in Sawfords first year at Westies Sticks wasnt playing then they finally convinced him to play and the rumour was he was getting $10k a season.
Now I honestly think that was rubbish but he would be getting paid more than $50 a game.
I also heard that Leigh Symons was going to Pt Augusta to play as he was unhappy that he finished low in there b&f count.

Leigh Symons is their best midfielder, although he held the nickname Apple Turnover for his errors by disposal.

Wasn't he right up there in the Mail Medal count last year?

Not unreasonable to think Manfield was offered 10 grand for a season as I believe Waylon Nielsen was offered a similar sum a few years back.

Yeah Leigh Symons is there best midfielder and goes 100% all game as well. Think he finished 2nd in the medal in 2008 but rumour has it that he came only 6th in club medal. He did miss a few games in 2008 tho with a knee injury.
I agree that they would have offered sticks $10k a year but he is the type of bloke to laugh at it.He would have been getting paid more than $110 a game tho surely. He has been argueable the best player in the comp in the last decade so he is worth the money. I wonder how much South Clare paid him a game in 2006 when he played there with his brother ???

Is there any truth to the rumour that Westies have signed Kane Allen?
I heard that he had signed a 3 year contract with Central Augusta and they wont let him out of it.

Roopena have definately signed Matty Oliver and are very close to signing
Warren from Langhorne Creek.

Smith is still not sure but looks as if they might not need him anyway.

I think that in Whyalla you would take either of them.
Waylon is gathering a good squad.
