This one isnt a rumour to be told until proven true so no names from me..sorry lads!
Im sure if it happens in the near future then everyone will know, if it doesnt happen then the so called "Karoonda Army" that people are getting thier hopes up for might still be a chance!

You could be sniffing down the right paths there ohhh i dunno.
Word on the st is that the idea of travelling every week may not be such a fun idea as once thought and staying in adelaide and returning to a local club is more appealing.

It may also be a direct result of having a first training with only 12 there, & ONLY 2 LOCALS bothering to turn up!!!! That would have to put u off

Big Balls wrote:Dylan Caldwell has definately signed, good player and has won 2 div 1 flags with the phantoms, however has played 8 games in two years at the club and has put on considerable weight over that time.

Jacko and Barrat also played with the phantoms, Jacko told he wasnt required after 6 games. this was over 8 years ago though and he might have improved.

Barrat only played two games a couple of years ago and looked way out of place in div 2 SAAFL. Way too slow.

Played against Smelty when he played for Payneham and to tell you the truth he didnt set the world on fire and then settled for the easy country game of footy. Highly overated.

Dont worry though boys, you will get all your players back once the money dries up and I can guarantee when this happens smelty will find another club to rob. He will only coach a club with money.

Was a great player in his prime; plenty of run and attack. However, is known as a chronic Gypsie. Must keep a lead on if playing in the back six.

So who is 'bank rolling' Karoonda? The crops have been sh*thouse for a few years, uness they're growing something else in that National Park down there or someone at Borrika has won X Lotto.

suggardaddy you might need to do some home work before you bag blokes, can tell you big balls can play and has a bit of white line fever about him. Many players have taken a backward step when he is around the pill, Lucky for you he's not in your league.

Gee thanks Scratchin, must say I loved your work aswell!!!!! your as mad as a cut snake.

What about when the Smelt Express signed for Tailem Bend (back in the 90s), then 4 weeks later went to Balranald for more money just before the start of the season leaving Tailem short of 2 big blokes (he went with another ruckman/tall forward) . What does that say about the bloke? I am surprised they took him back to coach years later.

Still waiting for someone to enlighten me on the great mans coaching record?

U guy's have a real problem with Creamy dont u!!!!
BB you were obviously part of Tailem During that period in the 90's. It was successful yes??? So who really cares if he left. His loss

As for these comments on this thread, try to remember its a KAROONDA Thread, who have struggled the last 2 years just to put sides on the park, & your constant bagging of their new coach wont help them. This is a club & League for that matter, which is on the brink of falling over if things cant improve, & we should try to support it!

Not sticking up for him, but the club

how they going to do that is it an easier league then div 2 hills because thats the only league corey has dominated

Southern - did nothing but whinge and cry when blokes belted the big softy

and resorted to playing b grade at tailem so he could be the very big fish in a small pond because a grade river murray got to hard for him and instead of contributing steadily in the a grade the big hasbeen wanted to dominate in b grade

very selfish and un team orientated will take your money and laugh at you the year after why pay big bucks to a full forward when no one is good enough to kick him the ball

ab what has mr smelt done to you to deserve these personal attacks ? did you get left out of a game by him or did he sack you from a club? after looking through all your comments you seem to be very negative, maybe this reflects on your life and your footy? hence why this
situation could of occured, well thats what it looks like to me any way sorry not meant to be a personal attack at you just an observation.
