Never have, never will. Like A Mum, asthmatic when young, living in a house where both parents smoked. However. both parents gave it up late in life when they had health scares. My sister smokes like a chimney.

Hardly any of my friends smoke and smokers in gerneral are definitely in the minority. The only exception, I play competition 8-ball and there is a much higher percentage of smokers amongst that fraternity.

First "busted" smoking when was 11! (same age Fatty Jnr is now). Started some serious "social" smoking in Year 12. Loved the ciggy at half time when playing footy! Gave up the first time at about 25, then for good at about 30. For them last 2 years a ciggy was like a breathalyser - if I had a smoke, I was blowing about 0.2+ !!

Recall the dinner parties popular in the 80's - everyone smoked (& drank), except my girlfriend (later to be Mrs Fatty) who suffered in silence. Nowadays, no-one smokes - although do have 1 friend who is banished not just outside, but to the footpath (if not the road) when he lights up.

Started when I was 15, was addicted by the time I was 18. Gave up for 15 months when I was about 23 and started up again around the festivites of Christmas. Gave up full time smoking about 7 years ago, but I will have a few when I go on holidays. Had about 8 cigarettes in 2008.
All up I think I have smoked full time about 10 years of my life. I enjoy smoking part time.

First ciggy at a North v South game in August 1976. Mr Dunhill and I have enjoyed a long friendship ever since.

Can't stand it. Think it's the most inconsiderate habit anyone can have.

Not sure how I survived in pubs before the smoking ban. I was in Prague a few weeks ago and you can still smoke in the bars and restaurants there. Walked out of 2 restaurants because people started lighting up. Had to bite my tongue very hard.

I better end it here. I could rant all day about how much I hate smoking!

You mean, more inconsiderate than the crackheads and dealers who go round robbing, committing burglary, mugging, car staling to feed their habit. Personally, I have not heard of a smoker, breaking into a house and committing burglary, to feed his Dunhill habit.

And then there is the drinkers, not just alcoholics, but the binge drinkers who drink so much they end up either fighting on the street or throwing up everywhere and anywhere, or end up doing both. You know the ones I mean, they come out of the pubs at 2:00am spend 2 hours fighting, throwing up and chanting idiot football songs at the top of their voices. Don't recall reading where smokinig cigarettes was responsible for 5,000 road deaths a year (mostly involving other innocent road users and pedstrians) or for 80% of all street violence.

Still, I agree that smokers shouldn't light up in a restaraunt where people are eating.

Sounds good but most of my mates mix up tobacco with their mull before they put it in a bong. Disgusting.
