I think there is a required % of former students to qualify as an Old Collegians or Old Scholars club.

I may be wrong, but I doubt it. 60% of the time I'm correct every time. :)

Could be that they want to attract people not from the school. Doesn't seem like they have got too much value out of their alumni so they may as well focus their efforts elsewhere.

Correct Flip, we have dropped the Old Scholar's tag but as for the reasoning I am not really sure.

But I think that relegation has sparked are few to pull their collective fingers out and change a few things about the place. Went to training during the week just to observe and it was good to see 25+ plus at training from across all 3 grades. The new coach has brought some fresh ideas and enthusiasm which hopefully translate into some on field success.

Hopefully the Club will be able to unveil a new "gun" recruit this week ;) ;)

under that rule I think we would be able to meet that requirement.........just. Maybe not in a few years with the current rate of football playing leavers over the past couple of years

Yep, a little gun (well a tall gun really  ) I caught him a few times playing 18's this year and also saw him play a senior game. Good hands and slots in very nicely with the seniors.

I think that Anchorman humour was lost on a few people LB.. I thought it was gold!
To clear things up LB was not saying there has to be 60% old scholars / collegians. There is no hard and fast rule here, it depends on the clubs constitution.

should be an exiting game up at houghton, massive crowd expected. good to see ingle farm organising some quality trials ( trinity and houghton, really), should hold them in good stead when they meet plympton, hope valley etc. i suppose a wins a win

Adam Silvy, played for Blackwood last season I think, my first impressions last Wednesday are very good indeed.
