The dolphins tried Div 4 a couple of years ago and went straight back down by a game and % to Flinders Park in 07. The club just wasnt prepared look some valuable lessons though.

I think you definatly have the potential to consolidate in Div3 but im a lil worried about Mitcham (only going on what i seen the 2 times cbc played them).

honestly Im not to sure how exactly we are gonna go, Ive never really seen div 3 and I also havent been to to many trainings!

But personally if we play like the unit we did last year and everyone is prepared to work for each other I think we will be able to survive the first season up, that is a win IMO.
if we can do that we will know what to expect and know what we have to do to be a chance for finals and possibly promotion in eyars to come!!

if mitcham have kept all there players then they also could stay up, they have very good depth, which I think you need for the A grade to have success!

I will be upfront. We have lost 3 key players in the last couple of weeks - i would say all of them in our top 5 players.

One of these blokes is replaceable, one is very hard to replace and the third one cannot be replaced. All midfielders/onballers.

We have lost a ruckman too, but we have a very good prospect coming through who should be good for us.

Wayne Cocks (A grade captain) has retired.

still with these losses i still think portland will be a solid outfit, Think scotch as well will be around the mark even if they have lost a heap of players.

Smosh at this stage is looking ok have about 40 to 50 out on the track. lost 3 to retirement but have picked up some lads that took last year off. we should be about mid table i say as we do have a good amount of depth at the club.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Not good a month out from the season.
Hopefully the young kids you had last year can help you stay up.

No, not ideal at all and it caught us out a bit. But we do have some good young ones coming through, and there are some good u18s on the track at the moment aswell. We still have kept our key posi players though (FB, CHB, CHF, FF).

It gives some others an opportunity too. Guys stepped up last year, so hopefully some others will this year with another year of senior footy under their belt.

Schimma, i reckon you are selling yourselves short too. You blokes are top 3 certainties.

Now with Kilburn going up along with EP and Flinders it is going to be hard to get an
idea on who will be the stronger teams.

Obviuosly Smosh and Scotch will be very competitive coming down from div 2 but
not much has been said about the teams that finnished about mid place in div3 last year.

I think you blokes will definately be round the top of the table!
what three did you loose to retirement?
and what blokes have ya got out that had a year off??

is brad karamanov playing for you blokes this year?

I heard you have a bloke named Matthew Johnston out there, runs rings around blokes and his athleticism is second to none?!
will he have a run through the middle this season or stick to the forward 50 where he is most dangerous?!

lost ruckman and stallward tim king to interstate/ retirement, Josh netchikowski to Mt Barker or retirement. and old captain ralston is in the force and cant play every week.

mat johnson that is not big johno, if so no midfield for him maybe full forward in the d grade.. Kara started training this week and should push to play higher then B grade this year.

we got Ben Jackson, chris spicer and mark Cullinan back from injury and a year off.

kara still cant kick but can he find the ball, will be very handy this year, little chook broke his foot and is just coming back, jacko studied last year and has not missed a beat this year, looking very fit and will be very handy. a lot of the lads are looking very fit as that is where we struggled last year.

Fair enough. I was just curious - you'd hate to lose them all to other clubs at this stage of the year! But some things just can't be helped. Easier pill to swallow I guess if it's work and/or travel though

yes he is. was captain of the B grade last year

the kid can play. Why is he only playing b grade? is it because he can't train. For a nugget of a bloke finds plenty of the pill. (just to clarify i am his cousin)

Someone said with Kilburn going up it is hard to work out the measuring stick of A3. Walkerville will be top 2 minimum, a very good side if they kept last years team.
