I'm heading there for 2 weeks in June for the first time (pretty excited...first proper holiday since ive been out of school!) and i was wondering what some good tourist things to do are? I'll be staying with a mate up there, and have pre-warned her that i am dragging her on tours etc!

I havent lived there since 1998 but back then the best school trips were to the Wildlife Park.

You ride on a bus thingo made up of a cart pulling open roofed trailers with seats. Im pretty sure theres a name for them but i dont know it.

Theres also the Croc Farm.

Howard Springs where you swim with barramundi.

Berri Springs has some good waterfalls and stuff.

Thats all I remember. I was 10 when I moved to Adelaide so all I remember are the things kids like to do.

Hope it helps. Great part of the country.

Yeah the weather should be good. I think cyclone seasons just finished. I think Dry Seasons just about to start too. Not 100% sure tho.

June is right in the middle of Dry Season. 30 degrees every day, and drops to about 18 at night...fantastic !!

Lichfield is fantastic. In June the water will still be around, but not enough to close things off. Buleys rock hole is great.

Berry Springs, jumping Crocs, The Wildlife Pk down the track is OK too.

Do some Barra fishing on Adelaide River !

2 weeks. Do a few days at Kakadu ! If you're a young single bloke do a "backpackers" trip and hook up with a dirty Swedish backpacker !
Mitchell St will be full of backpackers too....

Everything that Tassie & Hackham have said is good !

I love Darwin, and have been there more times then I can count for pleasure and work !

Awesome spot !!

Yeah plenty of Army blokes up there...they're generally on the prowl for the Swedish Backpackers !!

BTW, check out the Mindil Markets. Good for a cheap feed.

Also there's a Thai restaurant about 300 meters heading into town from Shenanigans, Mitchell St,
on the second floor that is fan-bloody-tastic ! Thailiscious.

The bloke sitting on the steps, is where you go !!
YUMMY FOOD CLICK HERE

Also check out the blokes toilets at the Buzz Cafe. Unique is the word, and food is OK too !

Are they the ones with the urinal that looks like your pissing on a window facing the dining area. Dunno what that place is called but went there a few years ago. Pretty amusing.
