Brady Dawe will leave a big hole to fill at Meadows. I see they have picked up a couple of boys from Aldinga plus Matt Bateman from Bridgewater. Also Sam Russell to return. Is top 5 out of the question?

so there is so much fuss with u guys and this sj bloke so why dont u organise a game with them and c what would really happen

What would we have to gain by playing Maccy ?? As I said ducks... we are a Div 4 side playing a trial against Modbury, a neighbouring Div 1 side and I think we could gain more from that than we would be playing a country side from the other sdie of the city purely because their coach used to coach us and we'd like to verbal him all day... Open your eyes mate...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I think Meadows can certainly make the five. I think it will be between Nairne, Meadows and Kangarilla fighting for the fourth and fifth spots.

Danielle (as we call him) is a very very good player and worth a pretty penny - he is on 350 a game plus a 50 drink card and petrol here and there. There's another recruit on a little more, club couldn't afford to add Wade Harrison and with Danielle and Rankine don't really need him.[

I'll give you a strong tip, Maccy might be glad they couldn't afford Wade Harrison, there wouldn't be enough space for both his and Micky Danielle's egos in the same room.
Harrow is like a disease in a club, if things don't go his way he walks but before he leaves, he has a habit of stirring up plenty of sh^t. Just ask the people at Gepps Cross, Broadview and Tea Tree Gully. No way on God's earth is Danielle worth that sort of coin either, no wonder his head hardly fits on his shoulders, he hasn't even played an SANFL reserves game and a Mail medal in Div 2 Hills doesn't warrant that coin[/quote]

Just On the Danielle debate i have to say the guy can play but he doesn't work real hard. I seen him twice last year and he was good in patches but seems to run out of puff soon after. I think if he has got him self fit he could be a more than handy country footballer.

I remember a year or so ago a certain nairne bloke (ex boxer) do the old guernsey over the head trick on tappy and continue to belt the piss outta him while the umpire wasnt looking. Funny

i dont seem to remember it like that i recall tappy being reported at the first bounce for striking and there was definately no jumper pulled over his head.

any news on where haydon thorpe will be this year. kangarilla have apparently not cleared him to play... big loss to lameroo if he doesnt go there and big loss to footy if he chooses not to play at all.

at this stage of all of their respective careers, id take both scott friend and daniel smith over mick danielle. IMO these two are both hard working very skilful young players, who now have 2 years of div 1 footy under their belts, and just keep getting better and better... be interesting to see if danielle has already played his best footy! but i guess this year will tell.
