Thought the kid did pretty good for his 1st game and only 18yrs old. He's listed as being 187cm and 84kg which he'd probably now be bigger, he seems pretty strong in the upper body for such a young kid and apparently very fast. I think Adelaide are handling this situation pretty well, I hope it works out. Tell me why I get the horrible feeling that he's a gun and will want to go back to Victoria after a few years.

Jeez that Rodney is strong. He looks a pretty well developed 18 year old. Plenty bagged the Blackbirds for selecting him but he could be a real gem for them. A bit of tick for the recruiters I reckon.

Yes, I thought Dangerfield did well in his first game, given his limited preparation.
That "reject" and alleged "dud" from Port, Symes, didn't do a bad job either - could it be coaching is his case, as with Gill?

Interseting article in todays paper about dangerfield. His Gellong falcons coach compares him to riccuito and rates him higher than bartel, ablett jnr etc at the same age.

Hopefully he is right

A very big call and one only time will tell whether he was right or not, lets hope he is.

...Totally agree browny2323.....the expectation placed on this kid already is huge...even future leader of the club!!....lets just wait and see how good he is....if his interview on 5AA last night is any indication he's certainly got his head screwed on the right way...

Ok, here's a massive statement...

When Dangerfield's long and successful career is over, he will be ranked in the top 3 players to ever play for the AFC. IMO.

I heard Captain Snooze say the work Dangerfield had done in the off season had left him behind the rest of the pack, coach also suggested he and the rest of the club were a little dissappointed. I also think he has had a small soft tissue injury, not sure what it was though.

I've thought for a while that there's something not quite right with this Dangerfield situation. Maybe I'm reading too much into a combination of little things but I can't shake the feeling there is some unrest there. Here's hoping he is in the side to play the Eagles.

It was just flat out moronic not to play him against Geelong. If he doesn't play this week even with the squads of about a million, there is something wrong.

In our defense we played plenty of kids, it was only really Dangerfield who you could call a glaring omission.
