just on that angaston thing with sj offerring some of his old players a bit of money, im almost 100% sure that he did... think scott friend may have been one of the names...

ur right there mate but his parents wanted to know how much would he be worth if he left birdwood thats all they talked bout and smith was thinking bout leaving as both boys enjoyed being under sj at birdwood and birdwood are the ones that said there happy to swap both boys for mick daniele so no wonder why they been asking around

at this stage of all of their respective careers, id take both scott friend and daniel smith over mick danielle. IMO these two are both hard working very skilful young players, who now have 2 years of div 1 footy under their belts, and just keep getting better and better... be interesting to see if danielle has already played his best footy! but i guess this year will tell.

well what i saw in few games last year i noticed the boys at birdwood and especially at kangy were alot smarter not saying they have no smarts just as a team they blended in alot better seem to be that at angaston what i saw everyone just did there own thing

yeah danielle certainly does his own thing, but players doing their own thing all goes back to the coach doesnt it???? if he cant get them playing as a unit he cant coach can he?? and that seems to be the general concensus with SJ IMO

If the team was full of Danielle's, the team wouldn't know if they were Arthur or Marthur. One week they would win by 10 goals, the next they would loose by ten. But, each team does need a little X factor and Danielle does give that.
As for SJ, I look forward to see him development as a coach and see where this journey takes him. There appears to be great expectations on the Maccy side for 2009 lets see where they are come September! Maybe someone should start an individual SJ / Danielle / Maccy site.

Osama my boy !! the only expectations on maccy , is the one's that you bloke's put on this site 99% bulls++t 1% truth !! all maccy want two do is build up/develop to be a competive unit in 09 and see were that takes us ?? at the same time try and hand over the wooden spoon to some one else , if we can ?? and we are not looking beond that !! no no big call jonno, well im glad u think finishing 5th is a major achievment, that side shouldve played finals last year!!! and after 6 years a premiership, 2 grand finals and a prelim at angaston one bad year is hardly a crime. im tipping u would kill for a record like that johno, sounds a bit better than 5th doesnt it
by the way broadview were already in a mess and the donnys are only going one way and thats up, will finish higher than last year imo
