I like Masten, Rich and Gumbleton with Ziebell as my roughie

Masten will play 18-22 games this year barring injury of course, Had a groin problem last year but still proved he can cut it in the midfield against more experienced players, Is quick, flashy and gets a lot of the footy. Did not use the footy well at all in the NAB cup but normally has pretty good skills. Is a real show IMO.

Rich is ready to step straight into senior footy and make an impact, will surprise a few people with just how good he will be straight off the bat. Will be very hard to beat.

Gumbleton is a player with an unbelievable amount of potential, could easily be one of the best players in the AFL within 5 years. Has had injury problems so far but if he can get on the park enough has the abilty to be one of the best Key Position Prospects in a long time.

There is a lot of young players at the roos this year that will get a few games each to see who has the potential to fill Shannon Grant and Jess Sinclairs spots. And not being a team filled with "superstars" they will have an even better chance of getting a game.

Friday nights performance suggested you might not be too far from the mark

I have seen both of Mitch Robinsons games and I dont reckon he has the class to be the NAB Rising Star. He is more of an absolute goer that all teams need but doesnt have the class or high skills to stand out like other winners IMHO ;)

Long range bet Western Bulldogs are $2 to knock over the dockers in subiaco round 1. I don't think you will get that on match day!!

Masten is a very good bet- if he is still $10 that is unbelievable value so long as he stays on the park. He has already performed well in his 9 games last year and exceptionally well in the 2 trials so far this season. It's a midfielders award and he is an important part of the west coast midfield when most of the other rookies will be peripheral players in their team and unlikely to make an impact on games.
