callmelater wrote:Kilburn rang me up the other night. Asked if I was interested in coming in for a meeting. I said sorry, I just signed at another club two days ago. They said, good luck for this year and if you ever change clubs in the future let us know. The bloke I spoke to was very professional and polite and from what I hear they have a good set up there with their gym and clubrooms and a coach who has won a couple of Barossa premierships. I also heard both the A and B grade coach have both coached A1s. Is this true?

That's all I have had to do with that club, but they seemed very nice, not like some of the pushy bastards from some clubs. They also said to tell any of my mates who were looking for a game to give them a ring. My team has an import allocation so I have told a couple of mates to give them a call.

I don't know about Jman but that is how I was dealt with.

• O'Connor master Coach - Robo Cop great in Magoos

• Great for Kilburn

• Great to see wonderful club on rebound

• Yeah we had troubles but now fixed

• Glad to be round for another 22 years

• Great to see more A1 Flags like early 90's and through years

• Go Chics now and foreever

What's with the ad for players in the paper today for Kilburn. Have they agreed to go up and now realise they need to bolster their stocks or am I off the mark here..........
Has anyone seen Sammy G, the KING of Teringie.

I reckon you are spot on. A champion like The Big Shrek can only do so much. Would think it was getting a bit late to pick players up this time of year unless you are throwing good $$$$ around
I'm number 1, so why try harder!!

I think its only natural that if youve recruited over the last 4-5 months players to be competitive in a Div3 Comp, then all of a sudden because of the Leagues slow reaction your thrown into Div2, your gonna be caught behind the 8ball.
Its a big difference from Div3 to Div2 like Div2 to Div1.
Well done to Kilburn taking that step the rest of Div3 wouldn't do, they only need to survive middle of the range for a couple of years & boost there stocks up in that time to be a force again. I hope the club guru's don't expect to much this year & put un- needed pressures on O'Connor, he's one bloke that can get them where they need to be in the next couple of years playing consistant football.

Dont know if this is true ..but I heard Kilburn have got rid of/sold more of their poker machines?? maybe as a result of the rise to div2 and the need for further funding

Was talking to some Pembroke boys tonight. They are dead keen for Feral Park to be kicked out the league. They do not want to go to that s***t hole.

I would have thought the Pembroke boys would be looking forward to playing EP so they can run of and sook to the SAAFL like they did in div3. Bunch of girls

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Any thruth in the rumour I heard on the weekend that Daniel Thomas (played for Barossa in the BLG last year) is heading to Kilburn. Last I heard is that he had signed on in the Adelaide Plains with Hummocks but then this rumour raised its head over the weekend.
