I think they need to as said before, drain lake completely, get a earthmover in there and scrap lake clean (might find some missing people as same time -Beumont Children) and then refill with fresh water and start up a annual milk carton regata there. I think this is a goldern opertunity to make some right of this embarressing (for council) wrong!!

Malfunction my ar$e, the lake was full of blue green algae so it was easier to let it go 'cause all these experts have got no idea what to do to fix it.

Unless it's quite substantial rain (more than 20 mm) I really can't see it happening. Even the hills are pretty dry at the moment and if it's just drizzle and showers it will just soak into the ground.

I'm up in Bridgewater at the moment and it's mainly been drizzle rather than a couple of heavier showers. As I was going to lunch I did notice a bit of runoff going from the roads and into the creeks so it might flow into the torrens!

Now they are reporting the Lake is basically full again after the rain that was received yesterday. Apparently they need to check the water quality before the boats can start up again.
