Bar 20 you are kidding yourself they finished 3rd bottom last year and have lost some big names including naylor, adams.bignell, mckay, both staceys, barker, mount and maybe the captian hawksworth long year ahead will be the easy beats

When we went up in 07 LM (as a Div 4 side), we had Blackfriars (Div 6), Peake, and Flinders Uni(C Grades). The division above us had A2 sides. It's not the best spot to be in.

from memory you only just snuck home against our lads by a few points.
its a well run weekend and a great trial game set up just to get the cobwebs out if nothing else.
is it on this weekend or the 14th?
We did mate, it was a very good forty minutes of football. That was my point to LM, just because the teams may be below you down here, depending on what players go up for what sides, they may get a good hit out from one or more of the Div 7 sides.

Flinders Uni on the other hand we beat by 20 goals in the 40 minutes, so it can go both ways.

I've heard they're trying to push you guys into the top div.
They still need an extra side, maybe you should bring up your seconds and give them a go at them....

You coming up LM?
I'm hoping to get back from Adelaide in time for the early arvo matches. Spewing I won't be there for Saturday, woulda loved a bevvy with some of the guys from here.

I very much doubt that I'll be making the journey, cricket on Saturday, junior cricket on both mornings.

A bit of a mix would've been good, it's probably a bit early for Angle Vale and us to be playing against each other yet, it could be a few emotions flying about.

agreed pag, seems that when a lower division side gets a go at a higher one it's an opportunity to test themselves and have a crack.

our lads had a good internal hit out last night, made their team mates on the opposition work hard.
tomorrow week they play a div 4 victorian amateur side so that will be a good oppotunity to see how they are travelling with three weeks until round 1.
certainly fitter than last year and great enthusiasm around the place.

Bradman, i hear one of our boys trained at Rosies last night, and was offered some 'incentive' straight up.

The Port is a small place, word travels fast... ;)

Mate 1 or 2 may have trained but the bloke who your talking about should realise that word travels fast and i have heard the amount he has stated and i will absolutely say this guy is either a Blatant Liar or trying to get Portland to offer more money

Yes Rosewater pay all players per win annd some get extra
I not going to lie
But the amount he has stated is utter Bullsh*t

Ever thought he maybe trying to get money from you guys?

Yeah, we are onto it either way mate.

Bloke in question is a very good player, but he has to realise that if you put your hand out for payments, then you also need to commit to attending trainings and being reliable.

Sounds like things are well organised this year, Bradman. Saw some of the Rosewater hierachy at Port Adelaide U18 training early on in the week, there is no U18 team at Rosewater is there?

Along with every other footy club in the area.... Most of them come from local clubs already, and you would think they would go back to those clubs if nbot selected. How have the Seaton boys that have moved to Rosewater been going?
