1984
Fahrenheit 451
Brave New World (was one of those made-for-tv things I think)

I thought Equilibrium was pretty good too...if you want something a bit more action packed.

I went looking in Borders yesterday for 1984 and Farenheit 451.

The only copy of 1984 was $55 which was a bit steep and while i was looking at 451 i saw a book called Stand on Zanzibar. It was 5x as long as 451 and the same price so i got that.

Just wondering if anyones read Stand on Zanzibar. It was published in 1968 so maybe some of the older people would know it.

Same! Don't forget Brave New World, another similar book. 1984 is possibly my favourite (if that's the right word) book, at least it probably did my head in more than any other. Depressing yet so relevant. The John Hurt / Richard Burton movie is equally superb, despite the Eurythmics soundtrack!
