Don't post often outside of SANFL season but this post got to me CP (although you seem to be a naturally cynical Liverpool supporter)

You think Arsenal can make up 8 points and finish ahead of Liverpool??
Chelsea to finish ahead of Liverpool??

I am not certain we can hold onto top spot but I am very confident that the Reds will be top two and automatically into the CL Group Stages.

I fancy Wanderers to take something off United at The Reebok this weekend and then it will be in our hands again at Anfield come Monday.

There are plenty of twists and turns yet in the title race. Liverpool are just so hard to beat and if they can get Torres firing and fully fit, I still fancy us.

What a weekend it will be.

No mate ... I can only change 1 team in the top 6, and both Liverpool and Arsenal will make it, swapping the positions of any of the top 4 is therefore not allowed. (FWIW I think we finish top 3)

And yep, I am generally a pessimistic (more appropriate than cynical) supporter when it comes to the Reds and Legs ... Im not usually too far off the mark with them though, but always hoping Im wrong thats for sure.

WOW. So nobody can put Villa top 4 even?

Usually they are top 6 until Xmas and then crumble. But they now sit 3rd and its a month after Xmas, 5 pts on Arsenal...credit where credit is due I say, even though they drew with Wigan. They are the most refreshing thing that has happened to the EPL this year. Amazing what a club can do with a bit of guts and discipline and not just $$. Here's hoping..

1. Man U
2. Villa
3. Liverpool
4. Chelsea
5. Arsenal
6. Everton

The rules are outlined in the first post of the thread. You can only change one side from the top 6 and one from the bottom 3. So although people may have had villa in 5-6 initially, they can't shuffle the placings around in the top 6, just replace one team with another.

Like you say, credit where credit is due to Villa, great effort to be where they are at present. However, numerous sides have been close and failed to break into the top 4 and even when Everton did it, they ****** it up by losing their champions league qualifier, meaning they fell back into the abyss of the also-rans. So it will take a HUGE effort from the Villians to maintain, but Ar5ena1 are helping their cause by being shiessen this year.

Then theres Spurs who were thwarted by the West Ham pricks running the hotel in East London which served up the Lasagne of Champions League qualification death   .
