Good on 'em !! Played them last year a couple of times and they always played in the right spirit and had fun and thats what its all about in the end. Just hope they keep a full side all year....

Not when we played them! The kids were good, but there were a couple of blokes just trying to cause trouble which bought the rest of the team down.
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

Really ?? I've been belted from pillar to post in the past playing them in A's so I was pleasantly surprised to see their attitudes against us... The only issues we had was some older guys wanting to protect the kids which is OK in theory but a couple of the kids were smart asses so were pretty much asking for it knowing they would get backed up... but overall they were pretty good.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Yeah i think that was the problem - the couple of older blokes gave the impression they were 'protecting' the young blokes, but seemed more an excuse to start some fights. Had a couple of big all-ins that day out at there home ground - spilled in to half time, so was interesting trying to get everyone in to their own changerooms.

Looking forward to playing them though this year cause they had some good young kids that had some talent, and have generally had some good clashes againt IF over the years

Hope to have a good year this year!

Interesting only 7 teams. Personally i don't mind the bye so can go and watch the a's and b's!

Anyone know if this is set in stone? Or is there the chance the SAAFL may change it up and add teams from C6?

I get what your saying cause iv had the same experience. If they want to put young fellas on the ground they have to be aware that they will get tackled and bumped no different to their senior players. I got clocked in a final in the B grade a couple of years ago against the farmers simply for tackling one of their young blokes. Pretty pathetic I thought at the time!

The competition in C5 so far is as follows:

Pulteney
TTG
Hope Valley
Golden Grove
Hectorville
Paralowie
Ingle Farm
Trinity
Wingfield Royals

At the moment they have us (pultneney) playing TTG 6 bloody times. We are contesting that because all other clubs at this stage of the drafting are only playing them 2 times!

Anyone want to play a trial game against Pultneney before the season starts?????

If you do then hit me back because I'd like to organise one that is C grade only.

The draw is the same for all teams. C5 will be an 8 side division. Every team plays 6 of the possible 7 sides twice, and one team six times. I must admit it threw me a bit when I got the program. It could either be great for percentage or terrible for percentage, dependant on the team that you play 6 times. At least the six games are evenly divided between grounds!!

Hey GTB, my draw has it as GG, Trinity, IF, TTG, Pult, H/Ville, Wingfield and Paralowie. 6 teams twice and 1 team 6 times would make the 18 rounds.

C6 will have Modbury etc in it apparently.
