They don't count mate. Everyone hates Leeds and all their players want to leave.

On that basis you can list every player who has ever played for Leeds ;)

Gabriel Heinze wanted to move to Liverpool from Man Utd but Fergie refused to do business with them. Ended up at Real Madrid

Peter Schmeichel came out of retirement to play for Man City.

Plenty between Spurs/Spam:

Michael Carrick
Jermain Defoe
Bobby Zamora

+ more that I can't recall off the top of my head.

Then there's Arry.

It feels dirty bringing in a Spammer, but it's great for singing 'West Ham's our feeder club....' when we're thrashing them 4-0!

And yes Bentley was Arse - Bastards - Spurs.

O'Hara and Palacios also completed trials at Arse before seeing the light. Then there was Pat Jennings back in the day who was arguably the best keeper ever (Big call but hey..) who was at Spurs for 13 years I think, was cut because the Spurs brains trust (who were obviously just as terrible as they are now) cut him believing his best days were past him. He moved to the dark side and dominated for 8 more years. He's now back in a coaching capacity at the Lane.

That's one of them. Just dug up this article:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1122362/West-Ham-draw-line-losing-key-player-Tottenham.html

Can't believe we let Jimmy Graeves go down the road....the shame of it.

Also forgot one of our all time greats and favourite sons, Teddy Shringham. Although he never actually moved directly between the 2 clubs, he was Millwall (how's the irony!!), Forrest, Spurs, Man Yoo, Spurs, Pompey, Spam, Colchester.

Others:

Paul Allen
Chris Hughton
Ilie Dumitrescu - you can have him
Les Ferdinand
Mauricio Taricco
Calum Davenport

Alfie Conn - Rangers to Celtic via Tottenham. Wouldn't have mattered how many clubs in between - that was controversial.

You were right in that spurs cut Jennings because they thought he was past it and too old at 31 ?.
Even more mystifying is that his replacement was a 30 something year old Ray Clemence.

Best ever??? I don't think so but he was VERY VERY good.

A West Ham XI that is playing for other teams might just win Champions League qualification I reckon.

Anyone want to have a go?

Let's not get carried away. They'd still be West Ham, so would bottle it.
