Looking forward to attending my first match of the season against the old enemy.A win against sturt last week with Torney and Warren absent was a good result. We have plenty of injuries apparently, mainly to recruits. It will be interesting to see how Bradley ,Cockshell and Parry are used in the panthers line up.

Injuries already B&W! To whom, how bad, how long out, how sustained given only one trial.

Apparently the injuries sustained by the new recruits are not serious, and some of them may get a run this or next weekend.
I am hoping Torney,Warren and Handby have a run this saturday.
I would expect a bit of improvement in the skill department this weekend against the bays. The bays will be around the mark again this season so we will get another indacation of how we are travelling.
A trial match this is so I am more concerned with the team getting the proccess right. With the right attitude and 100% commitment I cannot see why we cant get a few good wins this year. The team on paper looks a little stronger and we seem to have more depth so I would hope in the season proper we can continue to be the monkey on the tigers back!! :D

I too believe things are looking up from the weekends performances. A few key players back this week to gel with new recruits and younger players can only be positive. I'm hearing there could be another former panther heading back to South Australia, lets hope it's with the Panthers!

I too have heard this and if the former Subiaco premiership player does come back to the SANFL, he will be a handy addition to what ever side he choses to play with. I'm sure the Panther fans hope he returns to his original club.

Why wouldn't you be happy LBT? I noticed those two boys have been playing together at Subiaco. Perhaps both of them are coming back! I know one is a certainty.

Aiden Parker was a gun at the bay during his stay. Very welcome back I would have thought....

I was meaning if Parker came back to S.A but not to Glenelg, given the retirement of Sherwood & Rudolph travelling. that is why i would be upset. He is a teriffic footballer, as is Chris Hall.

Spot the tautology

(I note that one could easily substitute "Central District" for "Subiaco" without disturbing the tautological property...)

had a look and i think its safe to say south will be lower rung this year, the bays hand skills were bloody brilliant imo and the rest of our game made the panthers look very ordinary
