as mentioned in the Early MAL I liked Melbourne this week with all the injuries...i surveyed all the sportbooks and could only get $1-90 best fo rthe Demons...as a last gasp I checked PUNITAB...$2.05 was offered so I ran to the TAB and put down a Donnie Bradman...interesting to note on centrbet Adelaide are now out to $2.10...so I could put that same on them to guarantee some free money! however i reckon the D's are good things, however if the crows drift to $2.50 i might change my mind - a free $50- is a free $50-!!!!

advertising campaign during the 80's-
"Don't just tip winners folks, back 'em on the Footy Punt!"

Nb Footy Punt is a gay way to bet- no H2H, no line betting etc. You had to be Nostradamus & pick them within 12 points of the winning margin

hey there isnt anything wrong with the old footy punt and mr 1-12!!!!!!!!!!

what about the trebles on the SANFL and the big jackpots they had with the footy four!!!!!!!!!!!

they still have a similar thing on the WA TOTE and you only have 3 points with the margins!!!

but over there they have a pick 8 - all afl games
a pick 11 all wafl games and all the afl games except the friday night game

the tip 12 which is all AFL AND WAFL games and you only need the winners no margins

Folks,

Time to have a look at this week's footy punting:

I disagree with those that say steer clear of West against South. Footy does very funny things late in the season, and some big outs for the Panthers, and a couple of big ins for West. We won't risk too much, but $20 at $6 (to win $120) looks reasonable. Will then take a double of Central/Eagles at $2.52, invest $25 to win $63 on this. Steer very wide of tonights game at Adelaide Oval, too many variables in this one.

We'll take a couple of combinations in the AFL:

The roughies (bear in mind last round does strange things!) - Ess/Rich/Pt Adel: $10 at $24.20 to win $242.20

The likelys: St Kilda +39.5/Syd +39.5/Coll - $30 at $4.27 to win $128.10

To make the round 100: Another $15 on Tyson Edwards to win the Brownlow. I've thrown this one out before, as he has had a better season than 2005 when he came very close. High up in all the critical stats, and some main rivals (Judd, Goodwin) have slowed down at the business end. At $18, really appeals a lot - to win $270 if he salutes.

Good luck, and remember folks, don't just tip the winners, back 'em on FOOTYPUNT (good to see there are some as old as ol' Perce on here that have remembered this one)
