Well I can't knock ya mate, coz I never saw that coming either .. HAd a feeling in the water, but still thought we'd get done ... Dont think we've lost to any of the top 5 teams this year, how can we not beat those that are struggling??? :(

Only caught the last 10 mins, but well played to the Scouse. Can;t wait to watch the replay and see old freaky mouth get torn to shreds. Hopefully Fulham can snatch a point against the evil empire this week and it will be game on in the title chase.

Obviously a great win by Liverpool.
Would like to know the last time they conceeded 4 at home in the EPL.
Rio was a disgrace, trying to blame his poor tackling and lack of pace on people diving when clearly that was not the case.

Vidic, who is CLASS and could win player of the year was perhaps overawed by the occasion today and was deservedly sent off.

Lucas was mostly un-noticed today and I'd like to keep it that way.

Aurelio's free kick was a cracker.

Dossena, who I have been critical of in the past, has had a great week and might just be finally adjusting to the pace of the english game.

Rooney, Tevez and Carrick were terrific for the manc with their technique, passing and workrate.

RIO is a clown..........I fink.

after 70 minutes, the prawn sandwich queue was empty as half the crowd took doggy bags on their way home.
Seems that of the 75000 people there, most were from football park as the only rule they knew was to yell out "handball" as opposed to "ball" and thought the other rule was to leave early if someone who knew the rules told you the home team was losing.
This was highlighted by a kick into Carraghers shin with a cry of "handball', taking the tally of those cries up to 35 for the game.

Watched most of the game on and off.

Liverpool looked good for the win.
Vidic, deserved to walk if for nothing else than trying to rip Gerrards balls off.

 Someone got a penalty at OT (that wasn't a Red Devil) Brave refereeing.

4 points in it with Utd game in hand. But they have to play Chelski yet. I still think the title is done and dusted but at least Pools win keeps it interresting for a bit longer

I thought the same thing watching the highlights. It was a clear as daylight penalty, but it still takes a brave boy to point to the spot.

Let's just hope all of Man U's luck has run out - drop a few points here and there in the League and get pipped on the final day, Have a bogey in the FA Cup and bow out in the Semis, draw Barca in the UCL and get played off the park for 180 mins home and away.... [-o< [-o< [-o<

yeah they only drew with us at home. funny how ronaldo didnt play well, also when thierry henry was with us he tended to go quiet against the bigger clubs or bigger games. strange how the super stars if you wanna call them that dont go all that great in the bigger games

Not all of them.

Ronaldo dominated in the UCL final until he missed his pen in the shootout
Stevie G yesterday was nothing short of amazing and often turns it up a level when the occasion beckons - 2005 in Istanbul???
Fat Frank Lumpard regularly pops up for Chavski just when they need it on a big occasion.
The fat Ronaldo was probably the master of the big game - proven time and time again.

Spurs will do the double draw over the Mancs next month. Will that count? ;)

It's funny though that Liverpool do the double over Utd, but lose 2-0 at Boro, who are arguably the worst team in the prem.

City did it last year before finishing with the worst record in the league for the last 13 games.

Was pretty   to read the following comments from Fergie:

"It's a hard one to take, particularly because I thought we were the better team," said United manager Alex Ferguson, whose team is chasing five titles this season and has already won the Club World Cup and the domestic League Cup.

"We have to accept it was a bad day in terms of the goals we lost, but I couldn't fault the display that much."

By United's lofty standards, I actually thought they played poorly last night and we were able to capitalise .. Im not pointing this out to have a go at Sir Alex, I just wonder if it's what he really thinks, or if it's his media version, because Man U are a much better team than they showed last night.

I was amazed when I saw those comments too, but if you look back at the highlights particularly of the first half, Man U had some cracking chances and Reina did his best almost gift them a goal or 3. The main difference in the first half, was that Liverpool converted their chances.

But then there's Vidic and freaky mouth, who both had compete stinkers. How Fergie can say he couldn't fault their display is beyond me. So that comment has to be a media beat up. I'm sure he gave both the famous 'hairdrier treatment' in the dressing room, which is exactly where it should take place.

You're right though, it's ludicrous of him to say that Utd were the better team. They had patches, yes, but overall, they were played off the park yesterday.
