Frangas goes alright mate, played off a wing, but has the height to be very flexible. Spent some time at full-back when needed, and played most of the 2007 finals at CHF due to an injury.

He's trained very well when he's been out, very fit as you'd expect from a district cricketer. He'll hopefully play at Salisbury, as the players and coaching staff are excited about having him, and he can probably play in whatever position he wants ;)

I think you'll find he's already signed with a Div 5 club, played alright yesterday too ;)

Yeah we've known that for a couple of months. I'm not sure why you quoted the part about the district cricketer though, Frangas and the guy talked about in that conversation are two very different people.

Interesting to read on the Div 4 thread that Cashless Haven beat Woody Souths in their trial on Friday night. Have been hearing all summer how good Woody sth were and about all the guns they have picked up and they get beaten by a club that was close to folding from reports on this forum. Maybe the recruits they picked up talked a good game rather than playing one?? Purple helmet care to comment??

i was at the game and it was pretty even, still think woodville south won. and still think they will be a good side, think they may have had a few lads not playing and sitting on the side lines.

Was pretty even in the A Grade, wind was blowing terribly so skills of both sides weren't always the best. We were missing 4-5 and Seaton had some out as well including Coard x2, but was a good first hit out on one of the biggest ovals around (Hamra Homes, Elizabeth).

Spoke to someone who watched the game and he said it was a terrible specticle. I would say North Haven will struggle in Div 4 this year with all of these players leaving, so if they matched it with Woody Souths in a trial game then either they were missing these gun recruits or they are in for a long winter!

I seen probs 2 quarters of the game
and from what I seen the game went back and forth
woodville south would dominate for 5 mins then it would be North Havens turn!
wasnt a highly skilled game but Havens had alot of young blokes playing, new ones I hadnt seen before!
Im guessing woody south had a few out??

Average mate, but some people would say that's nothing new. Your mate Newman had it on a string, doesn't look a day over thirty. I spent some of my day learning what I could from the great man.

Heff played, across half-back and a bit in the middle towards the end. Solid without being a stand out.

Newman is a gun, nearly 40yrs old and still running the young blokes off their feet. Great athlete. Seaton maybe in for a good year??

Pag how did Sean Baker go in the trial? I know he sporting a shiner on his eye, probably a cheap shot from one of the Seaton snipers!!! Probably Marshall....

Bakes went alright mate, worked hard as always, showed how much he loves his footy by backing up from training that morning.

Cheers to you guys for letting him have a run with us, but I'm guessing we won't be seeing much of him this year?

Sorry to disappoint you slots but i think you will find the culprit was Thommo, not sure why you would think I would do that sort of thing, maybe cos I played with you a long time and witnessed all the cheap shots you dealt out. Thought Salisbury were good, will players to come back in they wiil be a good unit in 2009. Pag a stand out!!!
