I thought it would have been you or Tommo, and i guessed wrong... The only blokes i belted whilst playing were the ones that were too big for you to handle.

Pag how did Sean Baker go in the trial? I know he sporting a shiner on his eye, probably a cheap shot from one of the Seaton snipers!!! Probably Marshall....
Bakes went alright mate, worked hard as always, showed how much he loves his footy by backing up from training that morning.

Cheers to you guys for letting him have a run with us, but I'm guessing we won't be seeing much of him this year?
Bakes is a great kid, he does love his footy and he loves busting his arse, he does extra sessions on his own. I dont think any player will play all games with the U18s so you will probably see him at some point.

Not sure what game you were playing in mate, but it obviously wasn't the same one as me. Apart from my one hit out to advantage, I spent the whole third quarter trying to guard ol' Marshy at stoppages.

Portland played kadina on a very gale force windswept kadina oval. Game was played by two very enthusiastic hard running teams in a very interesting and enjoyable trial - kadina managed to get up 17-10 to 15-7

game was played in fantastic spirit with some big hits by both teams.

Kadina was without some of their guns because of cricket and other sport finals and i believe Portland also had a few missing - the bloods guns played really well - two of the newbies cameron faulkner and Brownie showed some great touches and obushak chimed in with 3 goals and beautiful kicking before most of the guns were rested for the second half - and portland put on their b grade for a run and a couple of players over to Kadina - the spirit in which the game was played.

overall a very enjoyable afternoon with a few drinks and BBQ afterwards.

Portland did show quite a bit, and as the new boys in Div 3 will push most of the sides there. They have some talent but were clearly beaten in ruck on the day (about only weakness)

Thats a pretty good summary of the game!
Must say that the wind was the worst I have ever encountered on any footy field! made it extremely hard for both sides!
faulkner was very good for kadina and was there go to man almost every time!

haha
off the field was where portland came into a league of there own!
we had the luck of a bus load of girls coming to the kadina hotel for a bit.
piccachu was busted trying to let the tires down so they couldnt go anywhere!
got one of the young lads on it and out of control!
few of the boys picked up!
was a huge night in the end!

just to top it off, when I left we had piccachu running down the street in his undies trying to get a lift with us but there was no room!
