SAAFL Div 5 & 5R (2009)

An undermanned IF side went down in both A & B grade by a few goals to Trinity.

A grade game was lost in the middle with IF not having a ruckman and was easily beaten.
B grade showed great signs, after a nervous first quarter they pegged Trinity back, could be in for a good year.

Fitness was the major factor for both sides though, needs to improve by round one.

Phantom if you are happy to lose to a div 7 club any time of the year you have a problem div 5 has always been a tough div and this year looks harder than ever i here you travel to houghton this week good luck

Full Forward where did Phantom say he was happy that IF lost to Trinity? also Trinity is a Div 6 team not div 7.

Trinity too were well undermanned with many of their players in melbourne, i would say i reckon 10 or more A Graders did not play, so i guess its hard to say what the result would have been if both IF and Trinity had all their players. Both Trinity sides were very mixed up with some A Graders, B Graders and C Graders. Trinity also had a handful of players that played both games.

At the end of the day whoo hooo go Trinity! Looking forward to a good season!

IF exactly same boat with 12 unavailable for A Grade, sides mixed with C's, B's & A's and several playing 2 games, overall was great hit out played in good spirits by both sides, some areas highlighted by both sides that need work, some areas that are working well which in the end is what trial games are all about preparation for the main event.......as to who won or lost was a TRIAL game no 2 points up for grabs or is there a
trial game flag that we are all competing for & don't know about?

Are you telling me that ingle farm had 12 A grade players missing on saturday for trial game you make me laugh the 12 you say were missing are now at other clubs.Have had a good look at ther training nights lucky to have 12 A grade players KEEP IT REAL

Trial results are a waste of time..... don't bother even talking about them. As long as the players pushed themself to the limit to get the maximum fitness out of it, that's all that is needed. No player, plays trials like the real thing...... because they aren't!!

i heard greeny played A grade for ifarm. (c grade coach)...must have been more than 12 u/a and heard hell be playing A s this week against houghton....to show the houghton boys how to play footy

Why would a C Grade Coach play in the 1st game that consisted of c/b grade players, would have thought it was common sense to sit out and observe, assess cattle that he will be choosing from and then have a run in the second game for a bit of match fitness in the lead up to the season opener and again it was just a trial game no 2 points up for grabs!

d b, he played in the second game ...hold on greeny s the c grade coachhe only gets the left overs that arnt picked in the b grade.. there would be nothing to assess as you say..he should have been playing potential A graders,, and b graders ,not himself if thats the case....only reason would have been short numb.how many are going to front up against houghton sat.......

GTB you made statements that IF weren't nominating a C Grade.......and proven wrong, then claimed it was IF fault by not nominating that other C Grade teams were put into C4 comp, but turned out to be higher grade teams pulling out, again wrong and now making another statement about IF numbers....let's see if this is your strike three and out!

Shouldn't be able to miss it! My missus works for Vodafone, hopefully she can get me a signed poster of Whincup and Lowndes with the Pink Pig (too bad she couldn't get me into her corporate box ). Ahh well, have a good one saturday anyway.
