English Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers will travel to Australia to play a friendly against Perth Glory in July.

Perth Glory said final arrangements will be made with the four-time FA Cup winners and Football Federation Australia in the next few days.

Wolves, who are well placed for promotion into next season's Premier League, are expected to spend 12 days in Perth as part of their preseason program.

Well after that game Cardiff might well be in the shit.

A cracking game ended 2-2 (again) with Cardiff netting a late penalty to take a point but the ref was hit in the head by a coin thrown from the stands. Hopefully they catch the thrower and give him a decent ban. Despite that, Cardiff were awarded a fairly dodgy penalty in stoppage time.

Ross McCormack's last-minute penalty ensured the honours were even in a captivating Welsh derby as Cardiff claimed a 2-2 draw which saw Swansea's play-off hopes in the Coca-Cola Championship dashed.

Reading wasted the opportunity to gain ground on Wolves and Birmingham at the top of the Coca-Cola Championship by only drawing 0-0 at Coventry on Saturday.
With the top two playing each other on Monday in a West Midlands derby, third-placed Reading had a chance to close the gap between themselves and the automatic promotion places to one point with a game in hand.
But they were arguably the poorer side against Chris Coleman's men and could even count themselves lucky not to be heading south empty-handed.

Sheffield United's late push for automatic promotion was further strengthened by a 2-0 win over Ipswich at Bramall Lane.
The Blades went ahead in the 19th minute through Greg Halford before doubling their advantage within half an hour through Darius Henderson.
An Ipswich fightback failed to materialise after the break as United held on to go level on points with Reading.

Fifth-placed Burnley could not keep pace with those above them as Derby scored a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Pride Park.
Burnley went in front against the run of play when Chris Eagles' cross was not cleared and Chris McCann fired his side in front shortly before the hour mark.
But Paul Connolly headed a leveller two minutes into added time to take a point for the Rams.

Rock-bottom Charlton did their bit to drag crisis-hit Southampton down with them as they won 3-2 at St Mary's.
Jonjo Shelvey poured cold water on the Southampton fans' rallying reception by putting his side ahead after only seven minutes.
Saints roared back, however, with David McGoldrick levelling in the 17th minute.
Tresor Kandol missed a penalty to give Southampton hope but Therry Racon (60) and Nick Bailey (69) secured the win and rendered Bradley Wright-Phillips' strike a mere consolation.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce's 58th-minute penalty miss proved costly as struggling Nottingham Forest took a 1-1 draw from Barnsley.
Campbell-Ryce's opener a minute after the break was not built on when the same player missed a penalty, allowing Forest's Robert Earnshaw (68) to level and take a point.

Gary Sawyer's 86th-minute header saw Plymouth steal a priceless 1-0 win at Blackpool to climb away from the bottom three.

Norwich's plight worsened this afternoon as they lost 1-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday, Jermaine Johnson driving home in the 48th minute. Wednesday had Tommy Spurr sent off for a late second caution.

The mid-table tussle between Doncaster and Watford saw the Hornets claim a 2-1 win in South Yorkshire.
Watford were handed an early boost when Doncaster's Sam Hird diverted the ball into his own net to hand the visitors a 13th-minute lead and Don Cowie headed home a second barely five minutes later.
James Hayter pulled one back five minutes from the end but it proved immaterial.

London rivals QPR and Crystal Palace shared a goalless draw at Loftus Road.

In the day's evening kick-off, play-off hopefuls Bristol City and Preston drew 1-1 at Ashton Gate.
Nicky Maynard gave the Robins a 59th-minute lead but the visitors equalised 10 minutes later through Youl Mawene.
