The Trans-Tasman duel heats up, going to be one hell of a final.

i agree i thought it was a drive to qualify rather than to win but most en zedders do hand up.......jl, do you think he would hand up in a grand final ? (i was happy he handed up as i had BAF going in trebles & quaddies for numerous units)

I put up $1.60 and what all the PIGEONS back BLACKIE.Bad Luck TOOT TOOT$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Reactor, made remainder of field look inferior. Omonous run.

Blackie was dissapointing, had nothing left in the tank coming of a average lead time and 62 second half. please have him primed for final Nat.

Karloo mick. only one due to the pole draw. ok run but wont get anywhere in final

Agree with all 3 points to a point BUT it's a bit rough knocking Karloo Mick who has WON ( not one) both his heats.
Yes he has had GOOD barrier draws BUT he was good enough to take advantage of them.
Karloo Mick is also ONE of only two horses to ever inflict defeat on Auckland Reactor and in his heat last night thrashed his oppostion, including the Hunter Cup winner Mr Feelgood who was expected to win and ran fast time as well. Karloo Mick has also ran 2nd in an Interdomion Final.
Wont get anywhere in the Final ?????? Bit of a premature statement i would've thought.

I assume then Changeover wont get anywhere in the final as well bcos he only Won his heat last night bcos of a good barrier draw.?

Wasnt knocking Karloo Mick, he's done an extremely good job but draws have been kind to him. Was simply stating he wont place in final due to the above highlighted by yourself - Blacks Fake, Auckland Reactor and Changeover.

Karloo mick did not beat the reactor in Prelims, Mark Purdon did.

Changeover will be very close regardless of draw.

Further comment will be made upon draw announcements tomorrow.

Draw is out today.
The heavy favourite Auckland Reactor is now without a driver.
Owners of Gotta Go Cullen have put the hard word on Herlihy to drive GGC. Who else can they put in the sulky for the final?

Herlihy is still his own man, he is retarded if he doesnt take the option of driving the reactor.

There's a rule that stipulates trainer must drive his own nominated horse first. Or something like that. Either way, Herlihy has no say in the matter.

Ok, thats logical. Good question, who will drive? Imagine if Gath gets the call up?

Hurlihy will drive the Reactor in the final...

They said on In THE GIG last night that - Gotta Go Cullen will be put in Vic Frost's name today (he has been training it for the last 6-8 weeks)

I can't see why Hurlihy would give up a chance to drive a $1.50 pop compared with a $50 pop...
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

The powers that be have disallowed the change of the trainer this morning.
Plus the owners of Gotta Go Cullen want Herlihy steering.
