Great game yesterday. Some good signs and its great to see we're at least a bit better than Div 7. Plus the effort the younger players put in along with the older leaders of the club. And the voice was unbelievable. I for one enjoyed myself.

the As won by 11 goals. there were a few players that played 5 quarters on both sides. Myself and Kymmie included. I think he kicked 2 but not sure.

Love the sound of that !! Winning anything anywhere must be like gold for the Hawks, but by eleven goals !!!
Sounds like the Brown-and-Gold is going to win some respect this year.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Yes the signs look ok for the hawks but the opposition had maybe 3 blokes that will play D7 this year, a few that will play C5 and the rest were playing their 1st game of football.

was a good hitout but probably would have been better if hackham's a grade had gone on early rather than late. a few of the uni players actually played all 6 with about 10-14 playing 5 quarters. there were only two playing their first game.
there was three who will c grade (div 7), four or five c1 players, a few 7reserves and the rest from c4, c5 and c6.
still you can only play who's out there. hackham's b ghrade may be in for a long year though.
good luck with the season and cheers for the hitout.

yeah we're not getting ahead of ourselves. we know that thats not the standard of team we're gonna play during the season. gotta say i enjoyed myself tho. the Uni boys were great to chat to during the game and the game was played in great spirits.

Also the umpires, who im guessing were Uni As or Bs who stuck around for our game, did really well. Probably the best umpiring ive ever experienced. You could tell they are players because they knew when things couldnt be helped and called a very fair game. They explained every free they gave away clearly too.

Great day out. Thanks boys.

nope, one (the one in red) is going to be our c1 umpire - that was is his first game - but yes, he has played the last few years.
the guy in grey is our c4 coach and playes while the one in orange for the last quarter plays c1.
perhaps we can do it again next year.

Is it true that all the young lads Hackham picked up from McLaren Vale have now decided to bail. Dennis must be banging his head on the wall if true
