Echunga Vs Bridgewater.
17s was a close game bridgy didn't have enought numbers Echunga lent one of their players to them and he kicked 8 goals for them, Echunga Just going down.
B Grade - Close first Quarter - Echunga B grade fitness showed, and Bridgy pretty much dominated after that by about 10 to 15 goal win.
A grade - Echunga had 12 scoreing shots to 6 in the first quarter, should have been all over by half time, Echunga looked very hard at the ball and plenty of runners, and good targets around the ground, held bridgy when needs and got away with a close win, I think 9 points.

Bridgewater Recruited to be more competative in Central?????hmmmm I think they may be thinking they need to re-invest their money somewhere else, maybe Country Division.

Not sure how Meadows are gonna go this season - but they've got a bloke curly hair, number 3, named Dave who can play a bit.

Flaggies easily accounted for Kangys over the weekend, getting up by around 10 goals. Still some quality down at Kangarilla with young Jaimen Stringer looking the goods.

The rumour about some clubs only fielding an A grade side might have some substance after Kangys pulled their B grade due to a lack of numbers. Worrying signs only 1 week out from round 1.

Big concern for the comp with the lack of B graders, especially at Kangy who have played in the last 3 GF's.

Well Gooch not sure where you got this BS from but I ensure you that maccy will definitely be fielding 2 teams. There will be some players not getting a game week to week. Easily had enough for 2 full teams 2 weeks ago in the trial against Mannum with still more to come back.

I suggest you keeping the muck raking gossip out of the public forum.

final score in the kangys and glaggies game was 17.9 to 10.18 so more like 5 goals than 10.

i was told by the flaggies coach and a few players that that was close to the best side they have minus 1 or 2. think that with a few more games under their belts the bushpigs will play competitive footy and push some of the top SFL sides.

word is that kangy WILL field a B grade side this season. 18 players were out due to injury or work on saturday and alot of them are expected back this week.

kangy forfeiting the b's was more of a kick up the arse to some people who are letting down teammates as they could have fielded 21 is they really wanted to...

think the only reason that gooch112 has shared that info guesswho was because at the last HFL meeting (week or two ago) 4 clubs were struggling for b grade sides and maccy along with meadows, callington and onk valley in central were named as possibly having only 1 senior team.

i dont think that mud rakinbg gossip is a fair comment... its a forum... where people share ideas, news and gossip.

lets just hope all clubs have 2 senior sides so we have a good year of footy

Owen/Sherrin, could you get in on the goss re several clubs not fielding B's? SURELY AS SUPPORTERS OF HILLS FOOTBALL WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW? I and my mates won't be happy campers if we travel to Kangarilla or Echunga at lunchtime, pay our $6, then find no action until 2.30. Enough said!!!

Most Respectful Teams will scrape together a B grade with whatever they can get, or thats how they used to do it, the phone call to the pub on Friday night, rangle up some locals.
As for Echunga with 45 players turning up for training, I doubt they will have trouble feilding 2 teams, as well as Kangy. As for Maccy, B grade was their focus last year, and I can't see them not fielding a B grade. But that is what Country B grade is and has been for quite some time.

Beefys Boys will give the Dream Team a good run for there (lots of) money. Kersbrook are sticking with there game plan and are still not running any laps at training.

With Maccy appointing SJ as coach it looks like B grade is their focus this year too !!! ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
