Delegates Meeting

Postby FOURTH ESTATE » Tue Apr 07, 2009 9:55 am

All clubs will have to do their Iscore work after the game at the home club in the following weeks.
Players lists , goal scorers and best players have to be entered for the sunday mail online.
Could make for some long days for some people.
If a game is tight or controvesial club officials are going to have to ensure the safety of the the opposing club managers after the game especially if they have their laptops with them.
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Sorry FE, but I reckon that's a tad over the top. I couldn't imagine the outcome of a controversial game being taken out on an opposing clubs computer...

Part of the new deal with the grant that the league was given, that each club gets a laptop or desktop computer. Im not sure whether they're an outright gift or whether they're at a subsided rate.

Desktop PC's were part of the grant. If you wanted a laptop you would need to pay a difference of $300.

Will the laptops have mobile internet access? If not, then how many clubs have wifi and would they grant access to it to enable access to iscore?

Clubs will probably have to purchase this themselves. We will probably invest in a USB-enabled wireless broadband connection.

Cop this for a classic!

On Saturday our C grade umpire took crook at the game, no replacement was available so after a discussion with the Uni umpire, it was decided (he was in agreeance)that he would umpire solo and we paid him our share of the fee to do the job. He was okay about it at the time but now we've copped a $500 fine for not supplying an umpire.
There's a big fight coming up over this, believe me!

bad game for an observer to turn up to. yep, we were in agreeance and i certainly didn't know that, even if agreed, fines would still be applied. i guess, however, we were all told that fines would be rigorously applied this year (even if the fines are fundamentally stupid).

large oval to umpire singly on as well.

1/2 of clubs didnt even have jumpers socks for weekend - Do they and we get fined for that?
Gaza guys in ressies on Saturday did not have em and were swapping with A Grade before game started.
Gaza guy after game said it was shambles as ordeers put in months ago - Any fine do you think for that?

Nice work...set a fine in place that costs more then simply forfeiting the game. I guess clubs will know what to do in the future.
