I think when the list is made up at the end of the season, the player/s being put on the list have to agree to it- I know LSFC had a meeting with players on the list- your boyfriend should have been there???
On one hand, if he's put his hand up and said he'll go on the untouchables list, then it's bad luck...
On the other hand, why on earth would any club want a player representing them if they really don't want to be there?

I'd suggest go straight to the SANFL...
They have the power, I believe, to over-rule any local finding... they have decided on clearances in the past I am informed...
Sounds absolutely rediculous!

That was considered. Apparently another League (SGL???) had a similar issue, and the SANFL wouldn't play ball, so I don't know if this would be any different.

I heard the "reason" that the "late" lodgement of the list was not considered (it is on the EP Sport thread), and it's a joke...
I don't know what the go is if a player is TOLD they are on the list... I didn't think a player could be forced to stay unless they owed the club they were leaving $$$

The boston football club in port lincoln bought in the rule over here and finally it has come back to bite them on the ass. Rules are Rules especially when the club whinging bought the rule in

It is hard to see why they would want to stop PT from playing with us but if he is on the list he is on the list. END OF STORY! What can you do about it? We went to the PLFL and they have made their decision lets move on I am sick of hearing about this subject!
I know if LSFC wanted one of our previous untouchables we wouldn't give in and let them win. I know of a case of this happening twice with B Jenkins in 05 and 06. Forget it you are making us look like sooks.
