Gold Coast couple mystified by faeces smear campaign

A YOUNG Gold Coast family has fallen victim to the work of a three-month 'poo rampage' by vandals who have been smearing faeces on their car, doormats and even the baby seat.

Sandy Whelan and her partner Shaun Hope said that vandals had attacked their home in Columbia Court nearly every weekend for the past three months.

The damage started when the young couple moved from Surfers Paradise into the rental property, which backs on to a park, three months ago.

Four-month-old Ethan can no longer ride in his car seat.

Ms Whelan told the Gold Coast Bulletin that the vandals, who she believes to be a bunch of teenagers, attacked the seat.

"They wiped poo through the baby's car seat so we got it cleaned and then they cut all the seat belts off the seat so we then had to have it replaced," she said.

"Usually (the vandalism) involves poo being wiped somewhere.

"We've gone through three different front door mats."

Ms Whelan said it had also been wiped across their car windows.

The couple have had to replace the car windows because rocks have shattered them.

But they cannot understand why it keeps happening.

"We don't know anyone here and we keep to ourselves most of the time," said Ms Whelan.

The couple say they believe a dispute between the previous tenant of their house and some local youths may be behind the attacks.

I now work in a hotel and had to boot 3 rooms out for smearing poo on each others room in a 3 way retaliatory prank. DH's.

Simple solution. Do a stake out with 10 of your biggest most nutted out buddies. Wait up all night for the pranksters to return and give them a good old fashioned kicking to within an inch of their lives. Take their ID's and let them know that you're now watching them and that the tables have turned.

Become the agressor not the victim, because the law won't help in this sort of crime.

Not just you Mickyj and you'll find it's not just Australia either...I reckon just about every 1st world country would have one of those 'Neighbours From Hell' type shows with cctv/video clips of people/kids attacking other peoples homes...one of many, many consequences of our loss of respect, discipline, tolerance and self-control IMO.

Not just you Mickyj and you'll find it's not just Australia either...I reckon just about every 1st world country would have one of those 'Neighbours From Hell' type shows with cctv/video clips of people/kids attacking other peoples homes...one of many, many consequences of our loss of respect, discipline, tolerance and self-control IMO.

there was another incident on the news last night or saturday night.2 13 yo's were reported after stealing gophers from an old folks home and damaging them joy riding.REPORTED them should have put them in detention and the parents made to pay for damages or have property taken away so that the old diggers can have some form of mobility
