I've noticed in the 'spam folder' on my Yahoo account that the old 'cheap viagra offers' and surgery for dangly bits I don't have are now replaced by emails advertising Russian brides online etc and easy credit/loans.

....and before you ask...no C_P I've not bothered opening any of them for a look and no DW I've never visited any of THOSE sort of sites either.

Guess it must reflect the way what men want changes when there's a credit crunch ;)

All my spam seems to be from nice guys from Brazil who want to offer me free movies, special upgrades for Google Earth, and free TV.
All I have to do is just click on the links they provide.

Everyone at my work seems to be getting the Russian Bride emails, so the rumour is that someone with the generic company email address has been visiting those sites .. We've ruled out Ali, Louise and Angela .. I know I dont visit those sites, and I'd never suspect Sean, Andrew, Dwayne or Kev, so that just leaves Nikolai and Yuri

Got one of those easy credit ones that skipped the spam filter on friday. Tried to copy and paste but it would let me and there's no way I'm going to the website itself.

It was for what looked like a normal Visa card but was obviously aimed at those who have trouble getting credit for whatever reason. Looked like a perfectly normal credit card ad...and then I saw the interest rate and nearly fainted...189.2% APR...and I double checked and that is definitely what it said not 18.92 but 189.2...outrageous

Here is an interesting variant - the HK email address is a bit of a give away, even though they've used the UK phone code.
Now if they had said their Hong Kong office was handling Australian winners, and given a Hong Kong number somebody may have believed them...
